Wish I could recommend these, but they are mostly useless. I've had good luck with other scrap packages but not this one. Not for the price.

Not the big pieces of scapes as seen in the picture. Mine were narrow cuts as seen in my picture. These are real scraps you can’t make anything great with. Good for learning how to use your tools so you can make great things in the future.

Purchased this product to practice carving and stamping because the Ad shows pieces large enough for this purpose.As shown in the pictures, over 1/3 of the order I received was off cuts of bridle waste. Nothing like the pictures in their ad.I might use this at some point (years) from now if I ever start making bridles or belts but unlikely. Will never buy from this vendor again

Leather was good quality just not a lot to work with. This scrap bag was scrap very small pieces some not even large enough to make a bookmark

Very happy with the leather that came in the package, nice large chunks with plenty of usable surface. Perfect for beginners in leather working or even small projects. Also came with about a dozen belt strap ends about a foot long which was to my surprise. A couple pieces of leather had some cuts and scraps, but as to be expected. Overall very pleased and looking forward to ordering more in the future.

Je ne m'y connais pas en cuir, j'ai commandé celui-ci pour faire des étuis de couteaux: J'aime la beauté de ce cuir, la constance dans l'épaisseur n'y était pas (des retailles), il est souple et se travaille bien . . . RESTE que ce sont des retailles (retaille=rebus, trop dispendieux à triller pour la manufacture) et à 40.$ pour ce que j'ai eu, j'ai l'impression d'avoir payé pour un véhicule et je me suis retrouvé avec une bicyclette . . .Je continu a chercher et j'ajusterai le tir de ma publication

Great scraps. Much more larger pieces than I thought i would get. Out of 4 pounds, at least half was usable scrap for knife sheaths or even smaller messenger bags sizes. A quarter could be small knife sheaths or straps to sheaths. And maybe about an eighth of it was folded scrap or really small parts. Could be used as inserts or testing for tooling. All were of the same thickness of around 3/8"I will buy again. Great for not cutting up a full side for a small section needed.Edit: ordered a second round again and got a whole different experience. Half of the content was inch wide straps of various lengths. And the other half was semi large pieces. Smaller of my first shipment.Edit 2: ordered a third time and got 4 pounds at once. 80% were 6"×6" ish square or triangle pieces. 10% were straps of 2" wide but 10" long. And 10% were small pieces unusable but good for testing or tinkering with a new tool. While I probably can only make 2 or 3 knife sheaths out of all this, i can get belt loop add-ons, welts, straps, top folds, etc. I often go through scraps to see if I have a piece that fits before tapping into the full sides to cut off. While 4 pounds is about 30% the cost of a full side, I often don't need a full side for a knife sheath either. If I did a project here and there it's great, but if I did projects daily or even weekly, a side would just better suffice.These pieces all tool well, burnish well, dye well, etc. I supplied finish projects that were fully used of these scrap pieces.

I've order from a few different vendors on Amazon, this vendor rated 4 stars because at least get 2 to 3 pieces that you can really use to practice with. I will not be ordering these Scraps bags anymore, regardless who selling them. What you truly get is unusable scarps and very, very few pieces that you can really use. Yes, I know this is why they are called scarps, and for twenty bucks, you figure why not, well I say not, I rather spend a bit more and get something I can really use.
