I bought 6 of these and they're all the same. I like the cup it self and seems of good quality but the lid is very cheep and the seal ring on it is even worse I was going to sell them but the quality is just to poor will make a good gift to family and friends you don't like just because of the lid not sure if it will stay together. the instructions are very nice explains the process well but the measurements are all wrong in it. the saddest thing is that I can't find anything else.

The insert is very nice--well made. The problem I have with this "turning kit" is the instructions. Whoever wrote the instructions I got must have had a different mug insert. The instructions say ( if you are turning or drilling the sleeve ) to use a 2-7/8" forstner bit for a little over an inch and then to drill the rest of the sleeve with a 2-1/8 bit. The sleeve insert I have will not fit into a 2-7/8" inch hole, and 2-1/8 is ridiculous. I had to drill a 3" initial hole, and then reduce that to 2-1/2 " near the bottom of the sleeve (NOT a little over an inch from the top, a good 4.5 inches from the top). I wasted a few nice cedar blanks figuring this out. Basically--the instructions are no good. Measure and figure it out yourself. The instructions are terrible.

These mugs work great but don't force them or you can get crackes in the lipbut if you hollow out you project correctly there strong.I would recommend these inserts
