These are for the common residential style PEX - B and C. You can use either the crimp rings or the clamps on these. They seem fine, I don't see any obvious defects. However, I'm going to recommend against using generic crimp rings or clamps - I've had too many of them fail. Also, I'm going to recommend against using plastic PEX fittings - I think they hold up fine once installed, but I've seen them get smashed or deformed easily during the installation process or while trying to remove a crimp ring. They're marked lead-free, and I'll just cross my fingers that the claim is accurate.I do have a general skepticism regarding generics, and would remind you that just a single failure could easily cause thousands of dollars of water damage. That's why I typically stick with name brand.

I'm putting in my basement shower and needed these for the hot/cold connections. So far so good as the elbows are the standard size.Pex is a time saver!

You will never go wrong with brass fittings. These PEX fittings are for use with the crimp system. I use these all the time; it is the only way to go. I trust the brass fittings over the plastic fittings any day of the week. The little plastic container is also great for storage. Great Product.

These appear to work as expected. I am not a professional plumber, but I am an experienced DIYer and they appeared to work identically to others I have purchased in the past. However, the plastic container they came in with a screw-top lid was broken.

Note that these are PEX B fittings using a compression ring. Don't try to use them in a PEX A expansion system. The fittings are clean and smooth with no burrs and fit the 1/2" tubing well. They comply with US codes for drinking water.

I am new to PEX and still can't get over how easy it is. Not that sweating pipe is hard... PEX almost feels like cheating. These are very good quality and are quite a bit cheaper than the big stores. Worked great.
