This is a really tough little end mill. I initially picked it up intending to use it for aluminum and brass. I'm sure it would make quick work of those metals, but it's apparently designed specifically for hard, typically ferrous metals. Okay, I had some mild steel laying around and decided to test it out. Wow. It's small, but it packs a punch. Only used it for a light pass of side milling, but it left a very nice surface and it cut that steel without any problems at all. Only issue is the 3/8" depth of the flutes, but my spindle isn't powerful enough to take much more than that anyway.

This seems to be way better than others, and I'm not sure if it's the coating or just that I'm getting the hang of speeds/feeds/flutes and understanding more and more on how it interacts with the metals I'm cutting.The coating seems to be lasting very well. I'm not going to be able to talk to longevity as there's only one feature I can use this on, outside of further testing. But from what I've got going on at the moment it's a great little endmill and all I can say further is, really know your cutting parameters and you won't be disappointed in it!
