My SIL installed one 12-inch vent in a low corner, and on the other side the vent is in the opposite upper corner, to facilitate air circulation. Was a quick and easy process. (A local big box store didn’t have vents with screens, but these screened vents were perfect.)

This adds a lot of ventilation wherever it is used.It has a screen so no issues with any insects getting in through it at all. Works as it should. Looks great as well.

This vent is ok. I wished the louvers would've been longer and have more of an angle to keep water out. They do not have much angle, plus they are short. Any wind driven rain goes right through.

Had to return because I only measured my square opening (and knew this would fit). Turns out my diagonal was a bit smaller than this item, so I needed to return.

Bought a house that has no vents for the attic. Screen material is the right size to prevent pests while allowing air flow, the frame is nice and stiff, the vents are angled just right to allow air flow but not let rain in. Better than anything I can find at a hardware store. Does not come with any hardware, screw holes are counter sunk to give you flush head screw for easy painting.

I installed 2 of these vents on the north side of the house to cool my attic which has no real ventalation. On the south side I am installing a louvered 16 inch fan to draw out the hot air. The vents were to allow the fan to draw out of the attic so it wouldn't draw from inside the house. It was difficult to be near the vents due to the heat coming out. I haven't installed the fan yet but these have dropped the temp 20 degrees. And they look nice. They do not come with screws so I bought #8 stainless screws. You will have to open the mount holes a little to accomodate the #8 size. UPDATE== I HAVE THE FAN INSTALLED AND THE ATTIC IS AT 105 DEGREES WHILE THE OUTSIDE TEMPERATURE IS 100.

This vent is made of aluminum and won't rust like steel or rot in the sun like plastic vents do. It seems to be painted pretty well, the rivets and general workmanship are a little crude but its square and flat and pre drilled with four holes to anchor it so I'm satisfied. I'd give it five stars if the workmanship and rivets where installed better.
