This cartridge looks identical to the one from Moen sold in stores. I appreciate the seller has wrapped the cartridge with plastic wrap so my hands won't get dirty with the lubricant on the cartridge. It comes with not only a bag of lubricant but also a retainer clip. It is well packed in a plastic container like the original moen package.

I'm generally handy; I've installed new sink faucets and built a self-contained pressurized sink system for off-grid use. So when my bathtub faucet developed a steady, maddening drip, I thought, "How hard could it be to fix?" Well, replacing the faucet cartridge turned out to be a humbling journey, indeed, but after about four hours, I emerged victorious in the quest to replace the OEM cartridge with this new-if-not-brand-name version. The prognosis? The drip has stopped, and I learned a few lessons. I'd say this job is at the intermediate DIY level and with somewhat high stakes. After removing (read: mangling) the old cartridge, I could not get the new cartridge to slide all the way in. I coaxed, cajoled, and used every trick I could imagine (e.g., tried leveraging faceplate screws to push in the valve with a steel strap; tried drilling a hole in a piece of wood for more leverage). At one point, I felt sure I just wasn't strong enough to push in the valve. I panic-ordered an OEM Moen cartridge for same-day delivery and took a break to eat something (pro tip: when working on plumbing, keep a jug or big bowl of water for washing up mid-job so you can still have water while the valve is removed, which necessitates the water be turned off). I started to think I might have to call a plumber if I couldn't finish the job, since I couldn't turn the water back on with the valve out of place, and the old one wouldn't go back in, either. I was just about to give up when I thought to shine a flashlight inside the pipe. I could then see that bits of the black rubber from the original cartridge were stuck along the sides. Needle-nose pliers enabled me to extract those rubber bits, and then the new cartridge slid right in, and I knew I was safe from calling a plumber. Re-seating the handle properly took a few tries (first time it shifted to "off" upside down, while the normal "off" position was fully open flow). It wasn't the very easiest DIY job I've ever encountered, but it was do-able, and I learned in the process. If you have a drip, I'd say this replacement cartridge is worth a try for a not-so-quick but economical and effective fix.

Same OEM quality this installed easily but I recommend a cartridge puller for getting the old one out. For as long as these last use the OEM version.

This saved me! Probably saved me 1000 bucks from having to call the plumber to come fix it. I was able to replace it myself. I really owe this product a lot. My faucet was leaking water like crazy and cost me at least three tub fulls of water. This is a perfect match to the OEM Moen model, even though it's not Moen model, it works fantastic. No more leaks! Installation was easy with the included lube. Very easy to use. Great price at 16 bucks, vs. the OEM costing 70 bucks!!!! Perfect fit and finish! Thank you, guys!

I have installed aftermarket parts before with about 70% success rate since some of the replacement parts are trash. I am hoping that this passes the test and will work on my next replacement installation. I will report back if anything does not work out like its supposed to. For now. the part looks almost identical to the original part.
