iv'e been using this end mill all last week doing 2nd op milling on cathode target retaining screws. the speeds and feeds being used are the same as any of the name brands we have used in the past. it's holding up well and at the amazon price I'll be using these as needs arise.

Another great little endmill with a good coating on it that's doing exactly what it's supposed to be doing!Dial in those speeds/feeds/flutes/coolant and this won't let you down.It stays sharp and leaves a good finish!

You can do it in a single pass, but the bits last longer if you take 2. I am using these to cut templated shapes out of 3/4 plywood with a template.

I ran a slot through a scrap piece of 4140 with no issues. I tried cuts up to .050 deep and the bit held up just fine with no chatter or deflection. It left a decent surface finish.

I ordered this end mill not for use in a CNC or vertical mill, but to try using to make mortises in wood on my drill press. I've seen other people do that and I thought I would give it a try. This end mill is a pretty impressive piece of work. It's nicely machined and very sharp. I have no doubt that this would work wonders in a CNC or vertical mill. That said, this probably isn't the right end mill for my purposes. The flutes don't clear chips particularly well at lower RPMs and the feed rate is fairly slow at lower drill press RPMs. I suspect that a roughing end mill might be better suited to my tasks, but I'm not knocking this bit for that.

I love solid carbide end mills, but I also hate them, if you don’t watch what your doing you’ll destroy them in a heartbeat, , but for what I do, I go through a lot of them, and base judgement on how many cuts I can get from them and how well the bits cut..So far I’ve used it three times, and so far it held up, with this bit I mostly cut mild steel and un hardened carbon steel, and it did very well, and left a clean nicely jeweled surface on the workpiece, so I’m confident that this end mill will hold up for several cuts before I need to replace it, unless I do something stupid like to big a bite while milling, then it should keep working fineIf you don’t abuse your tools they should last a long time, but sometimes accidents happen

So far it's held up to some carbon steel I've used it on. The flutes have held up and it leaves a good finish. I'm using them in a manual mill and I don't take large cuts so take that for what it's worth. It's been a great bit for the price.

the bit is sharp, dimensioned well and leaves a nice finish (when used on the finishing pass). I have been able to do plunges on softer material ( have not tried it on harder materials so far). I dont see this described as a plunge end mill, but the tip seems to be designed for it (it has that 'hard to sharpen' split tip design you see on drill bits for metal).I am using it on a sieg x3 mini-mill and its cutting nice. I am not getting too aggressive with my feeds/speeds but that is more a function of the mini mill and my caution against pushing it too hard.
