The butt pad adds much to the appearance but does absolutely nothing for felt recoil. Its hard rubber the same durometer as a car tire.

The butt pad is a little harder than expected, fits the stock great, would be nice if some small brass washers were provided to go between the screws and the butt pad that fit the hole in the butt pad. Going to the hardware store to getsome Monday.

Definitely makes shooting a lot more comfortable. This should have come with the rifle. There's no indication on the country of origin, so I can't confirm or deny that the product is from China.

The packaging has AB Arms' logo and website on it, and states that it's made in the USA. It appears that the description here is incorrect, and that the product is legitimate and authentic.

Much needed item for my AB Arms chassis. I think it should have come with the rifle.

I got a Howa in .308 with the A*B arms MOD x gen III and it didn't come with this recoil pad. It helps a little but the rifle I have barely weighs 6 pounds so the .308 goes right into your shoulder. This helps but if you are not used to or are wearing thin clothing then expect to do more. would have liked if pad texture was a little less aggressive and the rubber was softer.
