This works perfectly fine as intended. I managed to break mine in the first day, though. I was attempting to open the hook end just a tiny bit more than it is, so it'd be able to hook onto a wire about five feet out of reach....I'd done this many times with my old fish tape....but the hook end snapped off instead of any bending/opening at all. I had no troubles using this to fish several runs of cat5 through a conduit, as intended, and will continue to use it even with the end broken off.

I need you to 65 foot snake to run wire through a pipe I went to Lowe’s. I went to Home Depot and they didn’t have anything close to the price that I got on Amazon looking at what they had. I think the quality is the same. I definitely recommend

This fishtape is great. It's easy to use and put away when done. I like that is long enough for even the longest runs.

I am a skilled DIY but not a pro. For occasional use should be fine. I used it to pull 4 wires, 6 gauge for a RV outlet. I used the full 100 feet. It did great in the attic and pulling through underground PVC conduit.

It is very basic, but it works and it's cheap.

I've been an electrician for over 20 years. I bought this fish tape to make a simple 60' pull through 1-1/4" conduit. Worked like a charm. Light weight, yet plenty sturdy to do the job. Pushed easily in my "oversized" conduit. Not sure it would hold up to everyday use but for your average home owner it should work great . Highly recommend!

The rod is very hard and difficult to control once you enter the pipe.... not recommended and better to use the fiberglass.

the tape started to get stuck and would stick out of the sides of the reel midway into my 5th run. had to take it apart in the end and found that the end isn't solidly clamped down to anything inside and is just a U shape loosely hooked onto an opening at the center of the plastic reel. this had come loose, snagging the tape. it started sticking again after that but i managed to complete the 6th and final cable run. as annoying as this was, it's still a sight better than working that tangled mess you end up with without a reel.

Works and rewinds smoothly and effortlessly. Tip is pretty course, wouldn't work too well in crowded ½" conduit, but empty ½" or larger conduit, great value. Maybe not for a journeyman or extensive runs and bends. I am going to pul RG-59 strands up to 70 feet. Will pay for itself in one job and ocassional use.

A bit thinner and less robust than the brand I found at Home Depot. Then again, HD wanted $76 for theirs! I'm not going to use this every day. Maybe not even once a month so, at this price, I think it's friggin' awesome. Like what I'd find at Harbor Freight.
