Below the water surface the leader is invisible. The knot and tensile strength is state of the art and abrasion resistent. The low stretch index makes more optimal hook setting power. The leader is resistent to ultra violet rays so sun exposed damaged leader is a thing of the past.

Yes, it's thin. However, the first time I tried to use this for some basic double-drop rigs for surf fishing, the first rig snapped under the weight of 2lb redfish (fortunately over the sand). The second rig snapped during the cast, sending my sinker out to sea. I've never had that happen with 20lb leader, much less 30lb. Very disappointing.

This is great leader material from Palomar that’s so thin compared to others which can make all the difference when targeting certain fish like, Tuna and other selective species.. I am hooked and so are the fish!!

This fluorocarbon leader material is much smaller than the 80lb Seaguar Premium leader. Ties very good knots and very hard to fray fishing for Speckled Trout in South Texas.

Looking forward to hooking a nice big game fish. I’ll have to get back to you as soon as that happens.

Got really excited last night when I tied some leaders up with the 30 lb Palomar Fluro. It knotted as easily as good old Stren, so good that I double checked the label to see if it was truly fluro and not mono. Line is also very flexible and thin diamtered, unlike normal 30 lb fluro that I've been using. I tie my lures directly onto the fluro using a Rapala knot (95% breaking strength) and at the end I tie on a barrel swivel using a Palomar knot (ironic circumstance, > 95% breaking strength).Caught a nice 5 lb fish this AM on my second cast and when I brought the fish onto my boat, the leader snapped right at the Rapala knot, which was properly tied, something that has never happened in the past 5 seasons over > 3000 fish. They say if it's too good to be true, it probably isn't. The ease of tying knots in this fluro had me concerned last night because it was "too" easy. Well, it was too good to be true.

This fluorocarbon is every bit as good if not better than the leading brands. Thin, easy to tie and strong. I’ve bounced it off my boat numerous times and it’s held up great!!

I am using the 30 pound test as a shock leader for inshore (snook, redfish and seatrout) and light offshore fishing. I also bought a different brand, but the Palomar is much thinner and easier to tie.
