Who knew these were a thing?Well, these trainer skates were the hit of our very long winter this year!My daughter-in-law asked if I would get these for our 2 1/2-year old granddaughter who was adamant about learning to skate this year.I was skeptical, but willing...WELL, WELL, WELL, these were the p.e.r.f.e.c.t. learning tool for her!From her very first time on the ice, she managed to scoot along on both feet, at first with the hand of a parent, but quickly on her own! She was very proud of herself and I was pleased to have provided her the tools for success!Be sure to spend time making sure the straps are installed correctly and tightened properly onto the child's footwear and then, watch them go!

They stay on the boots better when the straps are crisscrossed!

It was hard to find skates that were small enough to fit my daughter’s feet so these are perfect since they can just attach to her sneakers and our adjustable. The straps are a little long so we have to make sure they are tucked in really well before she goes out on the ice. They are perfect for introducing her to ice-skating.

These are great because they are good quality and allow you to strap them on any pair of shoes or boots. The two runners allow your child to walk and balance normally but please note that they are not sharp and do not provide any bite into the ice. They do slide freely in all directions so make sure they are holding on to a sled or have someone supporting their weight. Good to introduce a toddler to the ice!

Pros:-- These are the only ice skates I could find to fit my petite toddler-- the double blades are nice for beginners-- they adjust to fit a wide range of sizesCons:-- the plastic buckles are too weak and the straps loosen quickly. One loop around the ice trail and at least one buckle fails. I am going to try buying better ones at the hardware store, but this is a major flaw.
