Item is not a clear cover, it is a base plate to convert a bike shoe w/3 mounting holes to a 4 hole cleat attachment. They should have been included w/purchase of Speed play cleats and should be accompeted by shims to be compatible with shoes with curved soles.

I caught a pair of Speedplay pedals for a great price on a certain well known auction site. I used these cleats to enable my cycle shoes to be compatible with Speedplay. For some reason, the longer screws that came with my cleat covers did not fit these cleats. That was not a big deal because I was able to still use the original screws that came with the cleats and snap the cleat covers on top.Adjusting these cleats was easy. I'm very bow-legged and I need a little more float than the average person. These cleats worked out very well for my anatomic needs.Overall these are A-1.These are great for what they are.

I was very impressed with these alternatives to genuine SP cleats. SP cleats are over $40 a pair. When you buy these adaptors plus actual cleats you can get both for less than $20. I put these on road shoes for our Peloton. I can't comment on long-term durability but they installed easy and work on SP Zero Pedals without an issue. I will be buying another set to replace a different pair that have worn out and rusted from years of riding outside. Impressed so far.
