I ride bikes. Tri-bike, road bike, MTB, fat bike; always looking for another. One thing I keep in common across all bikes is the cleat and pedal system; Shimano SPD-SL. Yes, I ride street shoes and pedals on my off-road bikes too. I do have some clip-in flat/platform pedal converters, so for more social riding I can convert to flat pedals and use street shoes. However sometimes the best answer is that you have to walk (short distances) in Shimano cleat shoes. It is better to protect those cleats so they have longer service life. That is what these do. They don’t make walking in cleat shoes any easier or more convenient, but at least you protect the cleats. The covers are cheaper than a set of cleats. These snapped directly into place on genuine Shimano SPD-SL Yellow cleats; I can draw no conclusions on third-party cleats but would assume they fit the same.
