I've used a couple of these so far on my finger sander, for smoothing out welds and flicking off weld BBs from flux core tube welding projects. Great for roll cage work. I like the variety. I had only ever used 60-80 grit for rough work smoothing welds, but now I have the ability to get a very smooth surface in tight spots with this variety pack. So far the couple I used is holding up ok. Sometimes these other brands have a tendency to come apart at the taped seam, so I pay attention to any orientation markings on the back. If you can get these on sale it's a good variety pack for the money.

Consumables are never an easy thing to purchase, let's be honest, after a reasonable amount of time they're going to used up and in the trash. Hopefully, after using them, your project or job is complete and you're on to the next job. With this in mind, finding balance is difficult and oh so important.I tried these belts on my Milwaukee M12 belt file and was very pleased with the overall results. They lasted close to the same amount of time of other belts which cost slightly more, so that's a huge plus. The media stayed secured and the belt itself didn't fray or fall part. They really took a good amount of usage before having to be changed the grinds themselves were absolutely appropriate for the specific media size/grit.I'm enjoying these belts a great deal and they have proven to be nice work-horse shop essentials.

This sanding belt set comes as a 32-pack of 1/2" x 18" sized belts in grits of 40, 60, 80, and 120 with each grit grouped together. I mostly do woodworking, and these belts fit well on my Wen 6307 Detailing File Sander. While I typically use aluminum oxide belts on wood, I have occasion for some wet sanding on wood, but these grits are really too rough for that application on wood and would need higher grit zirconia belts. However, I do use these zirconia belts on small metal pieces or hard to reach metal areas on various tool steel, cast iron, or on blades.I found that these belts did have some loose grit before use but not an overwhelming amount. The application and uniformity of the grit across the outside surface of the belt was pretty good, except the 40-grit had some uneven spots on the outside edges of the belt in places. I did not find any markings on the interior of the belts for direction. I also had to label the grit size on the inside as well. I would say the belts wear down in a normal amount of time compared to other belts I have used for the same purposes. Overall, I am satisfied with the performance and value of these belts.

I used these the last few days to strip the old paint off the wood trim on my shed. They worked like a champ and never clogged up and I haven't worn any out (yet)

You just don't realize HOW course 40 grit is until you see it up close. It basically looks like a strip of thick paper with some rocks glued to it!Seriously though, I have a belt sander but didn't actually plan on using this in a power sander. I do a lot of fine detail work with wood and 3d printed plastic, and wanted some thin strips of sandpaper to use. The variety of grits here is nice, and the 40 grit makes quick work of, well, just about any softer material. The belts are a nice variety of grits, but I really don't think the finest one is the same as 120 grit sandpaper, it just seems a little too rough to me. I could be wrong, but compared to existing sandpaper I have it just looks more coarse to me.There's no way to know for sure, because the 1/2 inch strips are too narrow to have the grit size printed on the back. Looks like they were cut from a larger roll, but none of mine are marked.

Works well, sands well. Fits my DEWALT 20V MAX XR Cordless Bandfile (DCM200B) and work well on it! Easy to recommend.

Used on a electric Wen mini belt sander. Fit well, tracks well, cut well.....but wore down quickly. I use this belt sander mainly for smoothing out combustion chambers on mostly aluminum and a few iron engine heads. Aluminum particles stick to the belt, with a belt cleaner only helping a little. The iron head however, took the grit off of the belt rather quickly. Maybe these are made for woodworking, but for my needs they don't last very long.

These belts tracked well on my sander. I noticed the seam on the belts was more pronounced than I am use to and was a little worried about the gap but none of the belts I used broke. Being these are small belts, the lower grits seemed even more coarse to me but they worked well. These belts sand and remove a lot of material at a time. I feel they held up well too. I spent some time sanding and the two belts I was using on this one project had very little wear on them. I had another piece of metal that needed cleaned up and I tried the higher grit belts on it and I have to say they do a nice job on removing rust and pitting.
