I love these melamine berry baskets. When they came I thought that they were ceramic and thought, oh no, I ordered the wrong ones. But, nope, it's melamine. I'm planning on using these outside while I harvest strawberries, so it was important to me that these are druable. And I think they will be. They are the perfect size and the quality is great. Now I just I'm waiting for the strawberries to grow.

I'm delighted with these cute berry baskets! They are NOT light weight nor do they look like plastic. They look and feel like ceramic. I would never have guessed that they are melamine.

I put in Amazon search for CERAMIC and this product came up but it was melamine (didn’t know what that was) and assumed I was getting CERAMIC, but after receiving and tapping it, put it through the dishwasher and THEN (shame on me for not paying closer attention) researched the material and it’s gross plastic!!! Thanks a lot Amazon for not have stronger filters and adding BS that ppl do not want more of which is PLASTIC

Light - only looks like ceramic - great size for the counter top - I put my tomatoes in one and my avocados in the other... separate but coordinate....

I was very happy when I opened these up because they really look like ceramic! They do not feel like plastic; they are very smooth and are also heavier. I know the description called them "lightweight", but I disagree. I would say the weight is similar to a like-sized ceramic dish. The price is about half what similar ceramic berry baskets are selling for. I was going to buy more to have for gifting when the inevitable "bounty" from the garden results in giving some fruit away to avoid wasting it, but was disappointed that these are not currently available.I like knowing they are not going to chip if they get bumped the way ceramic could/would. Best of all, for me, is that they do not have that porous area on the bottom that ceramics and stoneware have. I know this is to keep the glaze from adhering to the kiln when they are fired, but I despise that this unglazed area can easily scratch the surface they sit upon.
