It works as described but I don't like it hanging from my wrist as it's a bit heavy with the yarn on it and it makes it uncomfortable for me to crochet. I do like hanging it from a shelf and that seems to work really well. It helps to keep my yarn from tangling and is making crocheting much easier for me.

My wife writes: This yarn holder is a fantastic tool for keeping my yarn tangle-free while crocheting. It spins smoothly and is very easy to use. I found it most effective when attached to the side of my desk or nearby table, not hanging off my wrist. Including the purse hanger is a nice touch, allowing me to hang it from random tables when I'm on the go. I much prefer this to other yarn-control options like yarn bowls. However, there is a small issue with the clasp. The product photo shows a lobster-style clasp, but the one I received has a hinged clip, which is more challenging to use with the shape of the hole in the acrylic spindle. On a positive note, I love how this holder packs flat, fitting neatly into my crochet project bag. This makes it super portable and convenient for travel. One puzzling aspect is the inclusion of extra parts— a D-ring horseshoe shackle and a barbell clasp—without instructions on what to do with them. I recommend ignoring the printed instructions that come with the yarn holder and following the video instructions on the product page.

This yarn holder, for me, is best used hanging from a table while I crochet. I like the hook that comes with it for that. I think a ball of yarn would be much easier to get on if the top had a point rather than an oval end. I had to work to get the yarn on. I think this would be great for someone who is more adaptable to using it instead of someone like me who has crocheted for decades and likes her old habits😉 Nothing wrong with this tool and it works just like it’s supposed to.

Love this. It’s pretty and easy to put together, just look at the photos because the instructions were off. Great quality. Fun to walk around using it on my wrist.

Quality was excellent but didn’t suit my purpose. Found it awkward hanging on my arm. Most yarn I pull from inside of skein
