It looks and feels good, but terrible in practice. I put the tuner in front of me and when tried to play single long notes the only indicator was jumping without stopping. I put my hard rubber Meter mouthpiece back and the tuner became stable again. Plus, I had to use tape on the neck because the mouthpiece sunk down without leaving space to tune the instrument. Giving two stars because there’s still some quality on it.

Slightly to large for my soprano necks, massive leaks and would require me to put a thicker cork on. Metal tarnishes very very fast. The tip opening is MASSIVE, I dont have an accurate way to measure this but I can say the 7 does not correlate to the tip opening. I also reached out to the company to try and get measurements and never received a response. Worth a shot I guess I mean it looked nice! Dont get me wrong it plays, just not a lot of available info so its a gamble. Just a side note I bought the #6 gold version of this and it is AMAZING.

I’ve played saxophone for well over 20 years with multiple bands and played soprano for a solid 20. I recently purchased a cannonball raven series soprano sax and the mouthpiece that came with it wasn’t wide enough and realized the C* wasn’t what I was used to. I was used to a 7 mouthpiece that came with my soprano 20 years ago. With that said I didn’t want to buy a really expensive mouthpiece to find out I wasn’t happy with it so I opted to this $25ish dollar Yibuy #7 thing taking a gamble. Gamble was good. Not only can I play as well as my original cannonball mouthpiece, but it I can hit the high notes (as I could before) but they are more in tune without using so much mouth to bend them in tune. I wouldn’t consider myself a professional, but if you play and enjoy good sound, I’d recommend trying this mouthpiece out before spending a lot on a name brand. Saying this, I would recommend knowing what the numbers mean for 7, 6, 5, c*. My wife loves the c* where she can’t play on the 7. All players are different. I’m rating it 5 stars because of the sound and price. I’m happy and the director is happy. That’s all that matters to me! Hope whomever makes this buy feels the same. If not, try some of the different sizes and you might love it.
