How to install the inverter?
Regarding the heating problem of the inverter:
This is normal phenomenon. All electronic devices generate heat during operation. The inverter uses aluminum alloy material. Metal can conduct heat better. The inverter also has over-temperature protection if the temperature is high. Then the inverter will automatically reduce the working output efficiency. Or stop working. After cooling down, restart. It is recommended to install the inverter in a ventilated, dry and cool place.

This was my 1st venture into solar so I wanted to keep the price low. I have the 600w version I have hooked up to 6 100w panels with loose I'm getting about 400w - 500w depending on weather. 3 months in still doing it thing. Not having a cord wasn't a issue for me. A US AC plugs are cheap. So far a great product!

Warning! The connector that comes with this inverter only can connect to another inverter. There is no cable or connector to plug into an ac wall receptacle. Nor is there a matching 3-pin connection plug to make a wall cable. I had a similar (but lower voltage) inverter, but its wall connection cable had a larger diameter 3-pin connector.

On a 90° day with the inverter mounted in the shade of the panel, the inverter will drop production to 250 w like it's a standard fallback. Regardless of the casing being a heat sink, it needs a separate cooling fan to maintain adequate output. Disappointed..

I have one that is mounted behind my panels. It gets extremely hot and drops power output to about 150w in 95 deg weather. I'm going to have to get a different unit.Updated to 1 star, it's now dropping to only putting out 75w max in cool conditions. Power comes up in the morning but it flatlines at 75w all day. The total power output generated before this point was only 181kw, or about $28 bucks.

So initially I was going to return this unit because of the missing power cord. I was able to make something work without cutting wires and I got this hooked up to my panels already on the roof. After adding the unit via the Tuya Smartlife app, it connected to my wifi and works well so far.I will note that this inverter is replacing a failed "Legion Solar" setup - their inverters and regulator system was just a complete failure for me. The system worked great for about 2 months and then it all went downhill from there. This Y&H inverter has solved my problems and I am now generating solar energy to offset the usage in my home.The inverter kit does NOT include any adapter to allow this to plug into any outlets, so they recommend you cut the cable and hard wire it into your system. Unfortunately this would make the item non-returnable so keep that in mind before purchasing.They don't even have the adapter cable available for purchase so I am at a loss how I can use this without possibly voiding the warranty from day one.** UPDATE exactly 36 days later **The first unit completely failed after a little over a month of use. It has not rained, has not been exceptionally hot, and nothing has changed with the wiring or otherwise. The unit just failed and stopped working which is unfortunate as it was working so well for me that I was telling other people about it. Glad nobody else purchased one. I'll look for another brand and cross my fingers!
