This is a must have tool for 2.5 or 3D CNC milling deeper cuts. I use this for two sided toolpaths reaching 1.9" deep each side. The cutter works well enough on hard maple that a little sanding can clean it right up. CAUTIONS: there will be some chatter due to the working length of the bit so small bites are necessary. And (as this is my second bit) extra care is necessary for setting up toolpaths. I broke the first one when the machine drove it down 1-1/2" and then proceeded to move forward. Yeah, it's not going to do that.
