Its a decent strap but just doesnt have the smoothness to the handle when loosening! The shackles themselves are pretty thin as well and wouldnt trust them…way overpriced for the outcome of this

I was worried these straps would be too thin, but they were extremely thick. I was originally going to mount this to the roof of my rig, but I might just build a mounting plate in the back of my vehicle now to mount to. For reference, I used this on a 33" wheel.

This is a pretty decent value. For what it is, it's very good quality. Certainly heavy-duty enough to hold down a heavy offroad truck tire. The 35s on my truck weigh at least 75lbs each, and this will handily hold them down. They're adjustable to that size, perhaps even larger. Overall, I'm pretty impressed actually.I've only got two gripes. First, I do not prefer the hook attachement vs. a loop (or a carabiner) or a safety hook. This style of hook can bounce loose, if not propperly secured with strong hold-down force against a firm surface, and proper tie down mount.Which brings me to the included tie-downs. These are scary flimsy for what they're intended to hook to. The included fasteners are laughably inadequate, and the mounts themselves are simply sheet metal. They'll bend the first time you cinch it down, and the little sheet metal screw won't hold for very long with a dynamic 75-95 lbs working against it.So, toss the mounts. Get something better. And be conscious of the fact the hooks aren't a positive retention without being tensioned properly. Do that, and I think you'll be satisfied with the item.

Use this strap on my rock crawler for the spare on longer trips, or hold the spare on my trailer, length is fine for a variety of tire sizes. It is durable and well built. Great price.

I purchased this strap for my spare 32" sxs tire and the strap was too short to secure it. They advertise that this can hold up to 40" tires, but it can't even fit a 32". I ended up securing my old 30" stock tire incase of an emergency and the strap was barely long enough. I took it out for TWO rides and the strap snapped at the center ring. This was useless from the moment I took it out of the box and I wish I would have returned it right away. I do not recommend it to anyone.

The Y Strap for Spare Tire is exactly what I needed for my UTV and pickup truck!
