1955 Chevrolet 265 was the first of the 1st generation Chevrolet V8. It did not come with an oil filter. This one piece gasket does not fit the 1955 265. The block/oil pan was modified for 1956 to fit the oil filter. This looks like a great product and I was sorry it didn't fit my 1955 265!

This one piece oil gasket detierated from oil before I even got the motor installed. I install the gasket on oil pan and online a trace of oil in it due to pulling pan. Well I took back off to do rear seal and this thing is all gooey and breaking down. I took off threw away and bought a fel pro like night and day. Don't water your money folks!

I’m not a mechanic, but I enjoy working on my old truck. I’ve replaced leaky oil pan gaskets with other leaky oil pan gaskets, then I saw this one and gave it a try. It did not leak!!This is the easiest gallery material I’ve ever used. We’ll have to see how it holds up but for now I’m super happy with this product.
