This podcast microphone is fantastic! My son got it all hooked up to his tablet and has been playing with the settings. It comes with a C to C cord that also has an adapter to make it USB-C. The Sound quality is fantastic and I have the happiest 11 year old around. He figured it out on his own and cannot wait to try all the things.

表題の通り、超単一指向性が強調されたマイクです。商品紹介ページには「録音/ライブ配信/ゲーム実況/テレビ会議用」と書かれています。実際にPCにつないでしようしてみたところ、青色に点灯（ノイズキャンセリングモード）のモードだと単一指向性は半端ないですね。マイクに向かって正面方向以外からの入力は、ほぼ抑えられます。マイクに向かって横から呼びかけても、ほとんど捉えてくれません。逆にマイクの正面に立って話しかけると、途端に大きな電気信号になって記録されます。つまりマイクに向かって真正面からの信号だけを捉えたい場合に非常に便利です。おそらくweb会議、ライブ配信、DJ、カラオケ配信など、直接マイクに向かって話しかけるようなシーンでは、その周囲で起こる生活音や雑音、周囲のスタッフの声などが入らず、すごく便利だと思います。このノイズキャンセリングモードではPCの内蔵マイクと比較して、周囲の音を拾いにくい特性があるので、例えば参加者の頭上から音声を拾う（参加者の声は顔の正面方向に発せられるため、その延長上にこのマイクが来ないシーンでは、声は非常に小さくなります）とか、web会議などでこちら側に複数人がいて話し合っているシーンなどでは超単一指向性モードだとほとんど音声が入って来ません。これはこのマイクが苦手な使用シーンです。自分が使用した限りでは音割れはしないし、不快な息継ぎ音などもありませんでした。日本語の説明書は一応、付いていますが、世界の多国語で書かれたものの見開きの2ページのみで、内容はペランペランでよくわかりません。使用初日には気が付かなかったのですが、自分が職場の同僚と相談し、単語からの想像で使ってみたところでは、PCのUSBポート（アダプターが付いているのでtypeAまたはtypeCのどちらでも可）に挿すだけで、自動的に電力供給されます。電力供給されれば、自動的にモニターランプがつき、赤の時はマイクミュート、青の時はノイズリダクションモードで起動中、水色の時はノイズリダクションをオフの状態、緑の時はモニタリングモードとなっています。モニタリングモードとは説明書に記載は無いのですが、おそらく周囲全体の音を拾うモードのようです。超単一指向性の強い青のモードだと、直接マイクに向かって話しかけないとほとんど音を拾ってくれません。一方で、モニタリングモードであれば周囲全体の音をまんべんなく拾ってくれます。呼び込み文句には30メートルまで音を拾うと書いてありますが、実際には静かな夜間でも10メートル程度でも怪しい感じです。もちろん絶叫などすれば拾ってくれますが。モードを切り替えれば、集音声を変えられるようです。どんなに性能の優れた機械でも、説明がなければ使用できません。せっかくの機能なのに、そこがとても残念です。特性を活かしたシチュエーションにマッチングすれば、すごく便利なマイクです。

The mic is good quality and has good features on the knob such as gain, noise reduction, and mute. The downsides with this, however, are: To mute, you have to scroll the gain all the way down which isn't instant and can make it so you lose your ideal spot. The noise reduction also doesn't seem to work that well, just make the quality worse and dampen audio a little bit. The mic also take audio in from the top, not the sides, which means for this to pick up audio best you would need to talk down into it.As for the stand. You need a screw adapter, which is included, to use the mic with the stand. However, the adapter would not come off the mic stand. I wanted to take it off to try on my other mic stand and the screw piece got stuck. When I tried to take it off I ended up slicing my thumb on the screw piece.Other than that I would say for the price it's a good mic/stand combination.

When you first unpack this microphone you do have to do a little bit of assembly work. The stand is made from metal and is fairly simple to assemble and attach to the microphone with just your fingers. Once assembled and the microphone is attached you can set it to an angle that works well for you - it doesn't have to be vertical.It comes with a USB-A to USB-C cable that connects to your laptop or PC and also serves to power the microphone so it doesn't need any external power supply. There is also an XLR port (but no cabling) to allow you to link this in to audio equipment - to be honest if you have a mixing desk of any description then you probably have a surfeit of cables anyway.Operation is via the dial/button on the microphone itself. The issue is that there is no way of telling what it is set to so before settling down to record you are going to have to double check each and every time - this could become tedious depending on how many sessions it takes for one cohesively recorded piece. The noise cancellation works by pushing the dial/button in and pushing again to turn it off.It is truly plug and play, I popped the cable in to my laptop, opened my recording software and it saw the microphone with no issue.Because this is a dynamic microphone it works best when you are close to the head of the unit. I primarily record voice overs for family videos and this means that I can have the microphone wherever I want so it is simple to make sure I have it in the premium position for recording. The sound is actually surprisingly good and it does pick up on slight variations in vocal pitch and tone very pleasingly - I didn't like the noise cancellation as it did seem to dampen the main vocal range quite substantially making it feel flat and uninteresting.Having the headphone socket in the base of the microphone so you can check levels and that the background noise isn't too overwhelming is very useful. I couldn't have it on all the time but for checking everything is set up "just so" it is a real boon.This looks and feels rather professional and makes me want to sit down and complete some of those projects I have on the back burner at the moment.

Ich habe als Tester das Produkt gratis zur Verfügung gestellt bekommen, vielen Dank für diese Möglichkeit. Dies beeinflusst meine Objektivität jedoch nicht, und ich finde es auch wichtig, das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis zu berücksichtigen. Das Produkt wird ausgiebig und lange getestet, und sollten nachträglich Mängel auftreten, wird die Rezension überarbeitet.Das Mikrofon ist für meinen Sohn, der zockt, natürlich was das Zeug hält und kommuniziert so mit seinen Freunden. Er verwendet es für seinen PC und hat es vor der Tastatur platziert, was ich zwar enorm unpraktisch finde, aber er muss ja damit klarkommen. Das Mikrofon steht sicher und stabil durch den schweren Standfuß. Die Installation verlief problemlos, und das Mikrofon wurde sofort vom PC erkannt und konnte verwendet werden. Das Mikrofon ist sehr hochwertig verarbeitet, und man merkt hier wirklich die Qualitätsunterschiede zu günstigen Modellen. Die Kommunikation verläuft störungsfrei und klar und deutlich. Mit der Bedienung und der Stummschaltung sind wir auf Anhieb gut klargekommen. Wir verwenden es auch häufig für Online-Programmierkurse und Teams-Meetings und sind rundum zufrieden. Die Farbe der LED gibt Auskunft über den aktivierten Modus: blau = Ton an, rot = Stummschaltung. Dadurch hat man immer noch einmal eine visuelle Kontrolle, ob man für andere hörbar ist oder nicht. Es kamen noch keine Beschwerden über die Verständlichkeit vom Kommunikationspartner, aber wirklich einschätzen kann ich es von der Seite des Mikrofons natürlich nicht.

For the price it is not a bad microphone, but unfortunately I have been using a rode at home and the difference is a bit noticeable.Great to have both USB and XLR connections and both work well.The form factor and the stand it comes with are also good.You can monitor yourself right from the Mic if desired which is a good feature.Overall a good mic with a few caveats regarding integration on Macs.

10/20/24After trying several applications and computers, I did get the audio on this to work with Mac - the key was that the device must be selected in the "Sound" settings window under system settings - Using "Audio/MIDI Setup" didn't work. This has to be the input source selected in "Sound"There are no setting for sample rate or bit depth - its only 16-bit 48kSome programs don't show this mic as an option at all but it is working with others.end edit.I had high hopes for this mic -It claims to have 24-bit dynamics and work with both XLR and USB equally well - it looks good and was easy to mount to the provided desk stand or a boom.The first thing suggested was to down load the NearStream Sync program and update the firmware - which I did - and that part was slow but went fine.Then I looked for the mic in my audio devices on the Mac - it showed up right away but didn't offer any adjustments, was only 16-bit 48K (no other options at all) and as a USB mic, it wouldn't work with any of the software I tried it with - including FaceTime and Zoom - no signal showed up at all.Listening to the mic through the audio output on the mic worked but was frustrating - isolation from the stand and boom mount is poor - touching or adjusting the volume/switch on the mic is very loud in the signal and the mic is quite noisy overall -I will continue to try and see how this works on a PC and if reverting the firmware changes anything but as a straight out of the box trial, it was quite poor.The NearStream Sync software loaded on the Mac fine and did upgrade the firmware but there were no adjustments settings or status indication for the mic in the software - so its only functionality was to upgrade the mic.

Vorab, das ist eine Rezension über ein Vine-Produkt, das mir Amazon kostenlos zum Testen überlassen hat, trotzdem oder gerade deswegen werde ich möglichst objektiv urteilen.Mikrofone sind eigentlich immer schwer zu bewerten, man nimmt seine eigen Stimme im "Kopf" ja anders war als sein Gegenüber und so klingt auch der aufgezeichnete Sound aus einem Mikrofon immer seltsam fremd.Das Nearstream Mikro kann aber zumindest das gut. Ich habe es auf einem Schwenkarm montiert und könnte es mir im Bedarfsfall dicht vor den Mund zeihen, meine Gesprächspartner im Chat sagen aber, dass das gar nicht nötig ist und ich auch so laut, deutlich und klar zu verstehen bin. Egal ob des MS Teams, Google-Meet oder Discord ist.Das Mikro wird von Windows als AM15X erkannt und ist umgehend im Lautstärkemixer verfügbar. Ich musst ein wenig mit den Einstellungen spielen und die Funktion des Drück-Drehknopfes auf der Oberseite verstehen aber dann war das Mikro ohne Probleme zu verwenden.Da kommen wir auch schon zu dem Grund für den einen Stern Abzug: Die Bedienung mit dem ein-Knopfsystem ist alles andere als selbsterklärend und die Anleitung ist dafür umso dürftiger. Auch Online habe ich nicht mehr dazu gefunden. Schade warum an sich sehr gute Produkte sich so gegen den Durchschnittsbenutzer wehren.Zum Glück ist der restliche Lieferumfang von deutlich besserer Qualität als die Anleitung: Mit dabei ist ein ca. 1m langes USV-C Kabel und ein massiver Fuß aus Metall, der solide und schwer genug ist um das Mikro sicher auf den Tisch zu stellen, wenn man nicht, wie ich, einen Haltearm benutzt.Wer Lust hat sich, zumindest mal kurz, mit der Bedienung auseinanderzusetzen, für den ist das AM15X eine klare Kaufempfehlung. Wer es mehr "plug and play" mag, der sollte sich evtl. nach einem anderen umschauen.
