These led's are perfect for lighting my model car's. I use them to light my headlights and tail lights. These are just what the doctor ordered.

I have a wide collection of LEDs that I use in different projects, and every once in a while, I do have a project that could utilize a single LED that is larger than the common 5 mm and 3 mm LEDs.I've got a few 10 mm LEDs that have heavily diffused housings. They give off a very nice, soft glow. But the soft glow means they are not very bright.I find that these particular LEDs are a sort of compromise between my few remaining 10 mm LEDs and common 5 mm LEDs; These LEDs' light is not as heavily diffused as my leftover 10 mm LEDs; These LEDs still emit a focused spot of light, instead of simply glowing all over. But, that focused spot of light is not as sharp and as focused as it is in 5 mm LEDs.So, in some projects, I will have to fabricate another diffuser for these LEDs to get that softer glow, but that isn't a big deal for me.Finally, I've only used a few of these LEDs, but the ones I've used have functioned perfectly fine, whether they're permanently set into a DIY project, or being pinched over a CR2032 coin cell. So in terms of functionality and reliability, I think these are good and would recommend them.

“Lighten up, man!” Anyone ever tell you that? Maybe you shouldn’t take life so seriously. Or... maybe what they meant was for you to order this 100-piece white LED assortment from Xiaoyztan.Aside from their unusually large size, these appear to be your run-of-the-mill, clear body, two-wire-lead white-color LEDs.Other reviewers have complained that there are no specifications for these parts. True. I don’t know what electrical operating point to design to, and it’s not clear how far you can push one of these before ruining/degrading it. However, I took a 10% sample of the bag and messed with it, connecting one unit after another to a current-limited DC power supply.I can report that you get plenty of useful light out of these with 20 mA (2.7 volts) applied. Predictably, the LEDs become increasingly bright as current is increased, and they are almost unpleasantly bright at 80 mA (3.2 volts). Pushing the current any higher results in more heat, but not any significant increase in illumination. I would therefore suggest that 80 mA represents an absolute maximum, and that for long-term use, you’ll want to run these devices at some level below that.One (other) reviewer complained that component quality was “hit and miss,” that some worked and some did not. All of the samples I tested worked, though there were indeed some minor variability in their behavior.My biggest complaint—excessive lead time to delivery.

These work well, when they work. However, just about every other one did not work. Good thing there were a lot of them.

Used these to replace light bulbs in my Weller 8200N soldering guns. Don't forget the dropping resistor and diode to protect against reverse voltage. It fit the original hole for the old build perfectly. I used hot melt glue to anchor the LED and heat shrink tubing to protect the diode and resistor. More light than original bulb and will never need replacement.
