For the price, one cannot beat it. It has numerous pen nibs, |various colour ink cartridges, etc. everything a beginner to middle advanced calligrapher would want. When one becomes skilled enough, this is all you really need. The only thing Make sure that you keep all booklets inside the box. I would assume you may wish to order replacement refills.

This is a great pen and ink set. It comes with several tips for the pen and many ink capsules. Definitely worth the price.

I have been doing calligraphy for 50 years and must say that this is one of the nicest “feeling” pen. It has the perfect weight and the ink flow is so smooth!

SO. I didnt get a 3.0 nib, but i got a bent fude nib not sure which it was suppose to come with for me personally id sacrifice either the 1.0 or the med for a 3.0 but the set is HQ everything writes nice the Brush is the Best Part is really nice, comes with 2 converters as well as ton of ink.just wasnt sure what i was getin into from the ad. but everything is OK! 4 Stars minus 1 for the Ad. theres no instructions on how to ink the brush was wondering it inks the same as a fountain pen. Works Great!

Being of the generation when we were taught to use a fountain pen in Junior school, I still really prefer them, but don't reguarly use them. The pens supplied are of a good weight but I had difficulty finding a comfortable writing position. The fact that they come with the removable reservoir and can use either cartridges or bottled ink is very handy, and the range of nibs is good, I really like the brush nib, that I have never used before. The set also comes with a bottle of ink and two boxes of 30 cartridges, one has black and blue and the second has mixed colours, however disappointingly the second does not contain the whole range of colours shown in the booklet with the yellow and orange inks being replaced by more blue and black. Overall a good set that would make a good gift for someone intrested in calligraphy.

I have a good-sized collection of fountain pens, though I am new to Wordsworth & Black. I have looked at the brand as entry level because of the asking price on their pens, though I have pens that cost less and still perform well. I was very interested in trying this set, and I have been pleasantly surprised.As a quick summary, there are two pen bodies, six pen nib assemblies, 60 ink cartridges, an 18ml bottle of black ink, and two ink converters in the box. One of the nib assembles has a standard M nib and as such the pens can be used for “normal” writing tasks, though that is not the emphasis with this package. There’s a brush nib (which I have not seen before this set), a bent nib, and three stub nibs in different sizes. The product description says, in multiple places, that there are 4 broad nib assembles in the package; mine came with only three. The set seems to be complete, with no “empty hole” in the packaging where the other nib should go, so I assume this was a miscommunication of some kind.The pen bodies are nicely weighted and have a good bit of heft to them which is to my liking. If you prefer a lighter pen, this set probably will not be your ideal. The pens are balanced well too and seem to be nearly perfectly balanced when the cap is posted or not posted.Writing with these is a pleasant experience. The flow is smooth and so far I have not had trouble with skips or globs. These are not the smoothest pens I have used, but neither are they particularly scratchy.This is a nice calligraphy and writing set. It’s priced reasonably, it comes with a lot of inks and several nibs, and the pens seem to be of good quality. My only negative observation is the nib count being wrong.

Overall, this is a good set. It is definitely targeting calligraphy usage, with some very interesting nibs included (such as the flat straight nib head). A total of 6 nibs in this set, including a brush nib. However, I'm using it for sketching and drawing.First, it came with a very generous set of 60 ink refills. That's a great value by itself. The pen has a converter, so it makes it easy to use other type of inks if required. The brush nib is very useful in sketching too, it covers large areas (such as shadows or to fill in shapes).The pens feel heavy and well-made, even without putting the caps on. The caps will make the pen feels even heavier, if required. The pens are smooth and the ink flows effortlessly so it is very adaptive to different types of strokes, lines and curves.This is a good gift idea.

I bought this calligraphy set as a present for my cousin, and she is really pleased with it! I like that it comes in a nice box and at a great price point, which makes it a perfect gift! Previous to this I've bought another pen from Wordsworth and I'm really happy with it!

I truly appreciate that this company stands behind the quality of their products!I had an issue with the 2.5 nib and couldn't get the ink to flow to the paper, I reached out and they were quick to respond with suggestions of correcting the problem.When that solution didn't work, they went over and above to resolve the issue.So happy!The set itself is top notch, no issues with the other nibs or the impressive set of cartridges that come with!
