These pads leaves a mess when you first use them. It gets better as they get use, but I've had much better product in the past. One and done here. I won't return because I did use one pad. I used a towel to clean the mess left behind.

I don't have much experience in car polishing, but this worked well.

Buffed out a 35ft sailboat hull. Really nice product. I was very pleased overall. Nicely done. Backing pad was better than the one provided by Milwaukee. IMHO.

Zero complaints. Just polished up my boat for the season and the pad performed beautifully. Removed all the water spots, small scratches, and even made the rub rail look like new. Yes they shed. They all do. Here's 2 options to reduce it a bit. 1. Buy a spur tool. 2. Use your fingers. When you get the pads, fill a a 5 gallon bucket of water (or a pail...whatever), wet your fingers, then run your buffer while running your fingers through the wool. You'll quickly pick up a bunch of wool on your fingers. Rinse them in the bucket and repeat several times until the wool doesn't come off as easily. You can't get it all, but this does help. Of course you'll need to let the pads dry before using them.

I run a detail business and thought I’d try these for heavy cutting oxidation. With the right heavy cut compound these rip through the oxidation pretty well. They do shed like a German Shepard the first few minutes of use but, calm down and work great.

I haven’t used them yet or velcro pads either but I’m sure they’ll be ok. I did get what I knew I was ordering. Just a note, Tie down are better in a professional environment because they can be washed and reused over and over. However they look well made and suitable for occasional personal use. I look forward to having a shiny car again.
