Great heavy duty splitter. Stays flexible in the cold and should last for years.

This thing is the KING of multi outlet extension cord splitters. I wanted a heavy duty product, and this doesn't disappoint in the least. Can't believe it's priced so low (under $17) for something this good. I think I'll buy a couple of more before the price goes up!

This adapter was branded Southwire which makes the popular electrical building wires you can purchase at your local big box store. It seems well made and UL listed.

I have this ... monstrosity and also the Yellow Jacket lighted 2 foot with lighted power block. Both are of equal quality, which is not surprising considering Yellow Jacket is made by Coleman. I also have some Coleman jumper cables from the times when i drove used cars and they are of astounding quality as well.Back to this W splitter though - if you never used Coleman cable products you probably think no way it can be worth this much money, but when you hold it in your hand - it weighs like a brick. My Coleman Jumper cable was actually so heavy i didn't even keep it in the car because it was weighing the car down - not kidding ! I ended up buying a second, lower-duty jumper cable, also by Coleman to keep it in the car instead. Coleman quality is just out there.Anyway, this W splitter is better than the yellow Jacket. Not quality wise - as i said both are identical in quality, which is to say outstanding. It's better simply because it is more flexible - literally. As such it provides more strain relief on your plugs if you were to accidentally step on them for example. If you have some right-angle plugs and some straight plugs and they are all plugged into an inflexible power block like the Yellow Jacket and then you step on them accidentally that creates a huge torque on the plugs that will bend them. On the other hand with the Coleman W splitter because each plug articulates separately if some of the plugs are right angle and some are straight that doesn't matter - it can still lay flat with the floor without anything sticking up that you can step on and break.Additionally having the tree outlets separate from each other allows them to dissipate contact heat more effectively, which reduces the risk that the contacts may become permanently welded together, or just burned out ( although this typically only happens with low quality cables, i doubt this is a real possibility with Yellow Jacket, but still ).Finally the grips are very ergonomic - makes it absolute pleasure to plug stuff in and pull it out - it's just so easy to get a really solid grip on those plugs. That said, the Yellow Jacket is lighted, and it is almost half the price. So, really, both are great. But i like this one more.
