The cup arrived without any defect and is definitely packaged intentionally for being a gift right out of the box (see pic). The texture is very smooth and the etching adds a hint of slip resistance. My main issue is that I believe this could have been 8 or 9 oz rather than 7 without sacrificing its equilibrium. The rim provides good lip seal. All in all, very well crafted!

A great X-Mas present idea for someone that likes drinks such as whiskey or brandy.. I bought it for my husband and he really enjoys it, especially when he has guests over its a conversation item.

While the extremely cool gift packaging was severely damaged, nothing else about this gift set was damaged. The wooden cups are absolutely beautiful and fit nicely in your hand. The little "ice" tongs are super cute and useful. The stainless steel "ice sphere," which gets frozen before serving, is a very interesting and adds a lot to the cool factor!I'm planning to give this as a gift. I'll try my best to repair the cylinder packaging. The packaging for this set is CLEARLY a part of the unboxing experience. The Amazon packer thought that a plastic shipping bag would be the best packaging for it and not a box? C'mon Amazon!

I bought this set for my hus;and. It is beautifully made, comfortable to hold and beautifully packaged. The price is reasonable for a special occasion gift. The wood has a mild smell, like a wooden cask and it is easy to care for.
