This is a wooden box that can be used for tips, suggestions, or even saving money for a vacation. It has keys to open the back area to get out anything that is in it. The measurements are as they advertise. It is easy to use. It has a medium color wood grain stain. We are using it for the family vacation savings that all of us are putting into for now. There is a place where you can leave a note for everyone to know what the box is for.

This tip box is taller than my first 2 pictures show - I had an unintentional perspective in the photos. The actual height of the tip box is about 8.5 inches, and the width is about 8.25 inches. The box looks quite nice with a good quality wood. The slot on top is large enough for paper cash, coins, or paper (if it's used for suggestions instead of tips). I like the door in the back of the box, and I really like that it can be locked! My regular dry erase markers didn't show on the acrylic chalkboard, so perhaps a liquid chalk might work. I did have some special dry erase markers that go with a clear, LED note board, and they worked perfectly. I've set tip box up in my flea market booth next to my sewing machine. I can easily see this tip box working in a variety of places i.e. a restaurant, a salon, a theater, or in an office area as a suggestion box.
