This filter WILL NOT fit on my 2000 4Runner SR5 2WD as stated on Amazon (see pics). The gasket seems that it would fit, but not perfectly. I returned the kit.

Fit my 98 4Runner 2.7L just fine. This is the filter for the A340E transmission which should be the 3 gen 4Runners. Check your VIN sticker on the car. It will tell you which transmission you have so that you can be sure you're getting the right filter kit. Filter is made in Taiwan. No idea where the gasket is made. Mine did not say wix on it as pictured.

The part finder box says this won't fit my 98 3.4L Tacoma 2 wheel drive. Wixfilters.com says it will and offered the exact transmission code for proof. I don't like this type of confusion and I tried reporting it to Amazon but they still don't think they have a problem. I can't filter my search results to a 2-wheel drive model as the drop down menu only offers a 4-wheel drive option for this truck. I checked the VIN Placard on my drivers door and it confirmed that my truck uses the A340E transmission and I'll trust the Wix web info and hope for the best. Wix filters are excellent and normally Amazon is too.

This was the wrong part. Didn't fit my 4runner when it told me it would. Not happy. Watch what your buying
