I received two straps, used one to replace a broken one on an Eastpack hikking bag (15 years old), no issues and a perfect fit for the straps, the way the chest straps fit onto the shoulder starps is great and should be seucre. I used the second one with a bag that never had chest straps and was very surprised how well it fits, the added chest straps are bringing confort and stabiltiy while on the move.Highly recommend

I purchased two chest straps to customize my Carhartt Unisex Adult Force Backpack. One had loops and this one with plastic tabs. This version works well with the straps on the Carhartt Backpack. Now I have a great "personal item" backpack for air travel that will fit under the seat.

It’s probably great for backpacks, in which the purpose is to carry a small amount of weight said distance and stop. Not so much for heavy duty work such as a ruck march. GORUCK was out of sternum straps and I came to amazon, someone left a review saying this was an exact product as the GORUCK ones so I pounced. This is not the same product, it’s not nearly as robust. Putting it on was easy, and if you know the GORUCK brand sternum strap, you know easy is not an adjective of that brand. If, like me you were looking for an equal to GORUCK sternum, look elsewhere. If you have a school back pack and need a sternum strap, this is probably a 5 start product for you.

After two times of use it has already gotten stuck. Clipped it on and won’t come undone. Faulty design flaw.

The straps are very long, I'm a big guy and I still have a third of the strap left. I really like the clips that connect it to your backpack. They make it easily adjustable but hold the position well. It gets only four stars because the clips that you fasten together broke easier than I thought it should when I ripped open my buttoned coat but forgot about the sternum strap. I'm not how they compare to others that way.

I am going to be traveling this summer and the area I will be traveling will be to an area that there could be persons that could ride by and grab your bag. I wanted something to attach around my waist to protect me from that happening. The chest strap is long enough that it will go around my waist connect to the straps of my bag and still be comfortable. The Backpack Chest Strap seems to fit the bill.
