I usually do not write a review but I am really enjoying this product and thought I should share it with others. If you are in the market for an outdoor cantilever umbrella this one is for you. Easy to put together, provided with a quality mechanism and big enough for any backyard application. It is a great fit to my backyard and combines quality with an affordable price tag.

Wikiwiki as a brand name may seem to be silly and trite. To me, after setting it up I felt like a bit of Hawaii on my patio. The bright sun was great on some seating and perfect shade on others. I like reading outdoors and too much sun is hard on the eyes. I also like sitting outdoors in the light rain and this makes it possible.Setup was easy and the only tool required was included. Though I found it faster to use a ratchet socket wrench for the four base mount bolts. Everything else was simply adding the pole to the base and cranking up the canopy. I like how easy it is to change the 'attitude' of the canopy by moving the support arm and locking it in place. My wife of 5'5" and average weight was also able to adjust it with ease.Features that I like on this umbrella are the upgrades to sturdy pole, velcro tie to bind the canopy to the pole so light winds do not shift it around, and the build in tie strap to hold it together when lowered. I also found the weighted base that uses 4 bags of sand (available at hardware store) works great and is easy to set up for very stable foundation - even in moderate windy conditions.Features that I'm looking forward to using are the lighting attachments and cover for outdoor winter storage. I recommend this model for anyone seeking classy looking practical shade!

This is definitely a high quality umbrella, but you definitely need a heavy base (or several sand bags). With just 100lbs of sand, it was still top-heavy. Ended up throwing another 50lb bag toward the back as a counterweight, and it's fine. I would go 175-200 just to be sure if you have very high winds in your area. Or you can just bolt it into your patio floorboards.Other than that, it was super easy to put together. It takes some practice to get the steps right for opening the umbrella:1) Untie the velcro2) Unlatch the security lock on the pole3) Slide the round cantilever beam until the umbrella is fully extended4) Lock the cantilever beam with the plastic holder that meets the pole5) Latch the security lock6) Unwind the crank (you can go clockwise or counterclockwise) to open the umbrella all the wayWhen you get to the end of opening the umbrella, there's a small pole in the middle that locks into the middle of the umbrella, so you know you're done (the one one mine doesn't exactly line up perfectly). So far, it's held up pretty well to wind. Only other complaint is that when you move the cantilever beam up and down, it can travel pretty fast (gravity!), so watch your fingers. The price is great, but with all the bases you'll need to buy (and an umbrella cover), it'll add up!

This is a very well made umbrella that was easy to assemble & looks great on our deck. I would highly recommend the base weights as they secure the umbrella from blowing over & it's very easy to slide them off if you want to move it to another location. The steel framework is very strong & well painted . The umbrella is made of a thick material that should last for years. It's very easy to use & when deployed offers a large shaded area that completely covers our table & chairs. I doubt you can buy a better umbrella at a better price anywhere!!

UPDATE- Yes, we had a problem. We got quick and satisfactory responses from WIKIWIKI. We sent pictures of the rusting and they sent us a brand new umbrella. They felt the problem was unusual and said there should not be rusting like this. We received a shipping confirmation yesterday and the package was on our porch this morning. Stuff goes wrong and it is how you deal with it that matters. Wikiwiki did it right. Thanks!Update-We just opened this umbrella for the season. We had stored it encased in plastic and put bounce sheets between the folds to prevent mold. The entire base of the pole has rusted from the inside out. we really thought we would get more than one season from this unbrella, but it is so rusted I do not feel it will be safe to use when inserted in the base. I will try to contact the company, but it is not easy to do with Amazon being the middle man.The good:Nice coverage good quality canvas on the umbrella. Pretty easy to assemble. The bad:The screws didn’t always line up what did they fit into standard socket wrenches. The enclosed ranch didn’t really work well either we had to use vice grip pliers to really torque it down.Would like to see:This umbrella does not swivel or pivot. Once you put it in place it must stay where it is if you’re using a base. The tilt feature is created by angling they are open umbrella against the main pole. There are grooves to lock the umbrella into the base. It’s too bad they don’t have four grooves so that you could lock it in for pivoting positions. As stated in other reviews, you must have a base filled with water or sand or this will tip over with just the slightest wind. As it is we expect to take it down every evening so that it does not topple if there’s a burst of wind. Overall it’s a good sturdy umbrella if used properly.
