Gauge disk became unattached to backing less than a year into light use (started rotating so that the mmHg readings were completely meaningless). Buy something else.Update: White Coat contacted me when In posted my 1 star review and issued me a full refund. Added 2 stars for good customer service.

I love the cuff itself, it works exactly as it should. My only problem is the penlight. It isn't sturdy, its very sensitive, and the top keeps falling off. If you're going to promise a bonus product, design it in a way that it won't be a pain in the neck to work with. I work on an ambulance, so using the penlight is important. The BP cuff is great though, I love the color-coded gauge, and the bulb has just enough pressure, so you don't have to squeeze a lot to get to where you need to be. Great cuff! Terrible penlight!

I was nervous about buying this cuff because of some negative reviews and because of the low price. However, I’m SO glad I bought this one!First, the price was better than other cuffs on amazon. Second, the cuff is big enough for bigger arms (to an extent). At first, I was worried because the velro kept coming undone and the cuff would fall off in the middle of taking a pressure. So I started playing around with it, and realized it was on backwards— I believe that’s the problem most negative reviewers on here are having. This cuff IS backwards compared to most other cuffs I’ve used, so you definitely need to try it on multiple different ways before getting it correct.Since I’ve been putting it on as the manufacturer intended, instead of trying to put it on the way I’m used to, I’ve had no issues. The Velcro is very strong (so strong that you actually have to yank it off in order for it to come off) and the quality of the cuff is good.I’d definitely recommend for anyone who needs to practice taking blood pressures, or who wants to have one at home.

When you see a product for a low price, you have to sort of question its quality. I was skeptical at first because the black leather bag that the sphygmomanometer came in had visible damage (mines had a hole). Despite my initial thoughts about the product, the equipment seems to work pretty well. I was able to get a blood pressure that matched my usual range of 120/80. I'm happy that the product also comes with a free pen light. These pen lights usually go for $6 dollars when bought separately. Overall, I think I'm pretty satisfied with my purchase.

This works great. I'm in nursing school and needed to get a BP cuff. This works great, easy to use. The numbers are easy to read and it even shows you where to line things up on the arm for left and right arm. Great product, great price, and it came right on time

Just received in the mail, and couldn't wait to leave a review.. I am very impressed! For less than $20 I wasn't expecting top of the line, but liked how the cuff came with a pen light (always good to have an extra one) and just wanted a simple cuff to practice at home with while in nursing school. I had no idea it came with a stethoscope as well, what a nice surprise! The stethoscope isn't fancy by any means, in fact, it came in three separate pieces so some "assembly" required ;) but it actually picks up sounds REALLY well. The cuff and pen light work great AND the pen light came with batteries, which you hardly ever see now-a-days. It also comes with a nice pouch to keep everything in. I would definitely recommend this to anyone, it really is such a great deal, thank you!!

I have had one other sphygmomanometer. This one was significantly less expensive and seems to work well. It was calibrated well and is easy to use. My one critique would be that the pump cord is a little shorter than I am used to (I take blood pressure on myself, so a longer cord would be a little helpful), but overall this is a great product. I am an EMT, but use this more in a personal setting. It works as well as any that I use out in the field, though.

I received a unit that came in a White Coat Medical carton with model number WS-01 printed on it. The carton has a barcode sticker on it, which has a description of the contents that includes 'Adult Sized Black Cuff'. The cuff itself is printed with bold 3/8" labeling: ADULT SIZE.I have well defined arm muscles from weight resistance training. When my elbow is straight and with arm relaxed, a tape measurement of the broadest part of my bicep is 12" circumference. Well, this instrument can still be used on me, but it has such superfluous overlap to be cumbersome to put on correctly. I know what a correct fit is like because I also own a ReliOn Compact Automatic Blood Pressure Monitor (made by Omron), which is labeled as size Standard Adult (9-13").I'll be using it monthly on myself and my wife. It fits her somewhat better because she is obese.Be sure to obtain a stethoscope, which is required for use in conjunction with it. Stethoscope is needed to hear the beginning and end of the systolic readings.Tips:Consistency is imperative. The same person should always be taking the measurements. Take measurements at the very same time of the day; early morning is best; before caffeine has been consumed. Rest with the cuff on (but not inflated) for at least 14 minutes in a sitting position and relax the mind during this period. Rest the arm with the cuff at the same level as the heart. Legs should not be crossed during the measurement. Take a set of five measurements and record them all.Remember:Your doctor's office doesn't provide enough time to follow proper measurement technique. Your doctor is willing to prescribe medication based on hastily and inconsistently measured blood pressure.
