This was an exact replacement for my Kitchenaid stovetop. It was just installed so I have no idea about the life of this replacement. The original was still working after probably 30 years - the clips that held the element centered broke off during cleaning.

Factory part, drop-in replacement for failed burner. Works perfectly as expected.

Plugged it right in and was able to use all of my burners again. A slight bit of smoke for under 10 seconds, then made a big pot of chili. It's working great.

Perfect fit! Great look. Worked perfectly! I didn't know what size to buy, because my range is so old, there were no model numbers on it anywhere, so I just went by the picture - it is a perfect fit! I am so pleased!

Works just like it's designed to. This design, IMO, is flawed though...... but that is they way the manufactures want it to be. There can be a better way to make the burners keep in good contact over time so they don't short out causing a need for new burner AND a new socket. I believe folks can figure out why this design has been being used for so long without change/improvement.Heats up outstanding. I would recommend if one wants to not have to go buy a whole new stove.
