I purchased this veil in brown. It's more beautiful in real life. The color is even and deep with hints of gold/copper. The lace pattern is gorgeous, and the edges are well finished.The weight is perfect and it stayed in place without pins (although a card of small hairpins were kindly provided).Wonderful quality for the price. The package can be used for storage if needed.

I was gifted my aunt’s mantillas from the 1960s and nothing could compare, but they eventually began to unravel. I’m always on the lookout for a comparable alternative, and this particular mantilla fits the bill. It is beautiful, the fabric is soft and it drapes beautifully. A clip and Bobby pins ate conveniently included for securing in place.

The veil color is orange red color which I dislike. Online it shown as deep burgundy cranberry red. The lace pattern is beautiful. The pattern shines on the lace.

I am not Catholic but as a fellow Christian I still enjoy the rituals of other denominations--so I finally splurged and got a prayer veil. I've always loved the Spanish Mantilla style. For the price and how quickly it shipped, this arrived in better condition and quality than I expected. Color was exactly as advertised, and it even came with barrettes if you prefer to clip your prayer veil.

I tried to wear this veil to Mass, but it just would not stay on at all. Trying to get it to stay on my head was so distracting that I gave up and had my head uncovered for that Mass. The fabric is so stiff and heavy that it does not drape enough to stay on my head. I hand washed it twice to see if that would make it any softer, but it still feels stiff. None of the color washed out into the sink during the handwashing. None of the models pictured are using any clips that I could see and the veil looks great on them because they are not moving. I have never needed to use bobby pins or clips for any of my other veils and I don't like how veils look when clipped. The fabric is very pretty and good quality but it is more like dress fabric than veil fabric. The blue color I got is a bit darker than what is pictured. This makes a better shawl than a veil. It came with normal bobby pins and a strange bendy clip. The bendy clip looks like maybe it is supposed to go through the lace but it is too large to fit through the lace holes. If the bendy clip is supposed to go at the edge of the veil then, if your hair is parted in the middle you would have to wear it only on one side. There were no instructions to use the weird bendy clip and I was not able to figure out how to use it. The normal bobby pins included will come in handy to keep this veil on your head. Because of the stiffness this veil is not at all wearable for me.
