I was surprised that inverters only produce 120 volt current. This is what's required to adapt it to my regular generator power cord for the house. You have to be sure to turn off anything that's 240 volts.

I not recommend to buy a junk stuff like this, not worth a penny don’t spend your money buying this item. I tried to use it for first time and nop it didn’t work, unfortunately I bought it this item 4 months ago and I lost the chance to return this junk.

This unit has one hot connector that is open circuit. It is useless for intended application. You only get power to one leg of your L14-30R.

I bought this to connect my Predator 3500 generator to my Reliance Controls ProTran 6-circuit transfer switch. For my setup, the three male prongs (TT-30P end) of this adapter plugged into another adapter, which then plugged into my generator. One end of my 4-prong extension cord plugged into the L14-30R end of this adapter and the other end plugged into the transfer switch inlet box. However, only 3 of my 6 transfer switch circuits would work. That was because this adapter is not bridged. Simply put, only one of the two hot poles plugging into the inlet box was actually hot, thus only providing 120v power to one side of the transfer switch. A bridged adapter connects the two hot poles, thus providing120v power to both sides of the transfer switch (i.e. all 6 circuits). The proper adapter for my particular setup is a bridged TT-30P to L14-30R adapter, like the Reliance Controls AC3130.I gave this adapter 3 stars not because it malfunctioned, but because the description did not identify it as a non-bridged adapter. I returned it.

Good product. Works just fine. I used it to convert a plug on a small generator to what I need for powering my trailer or some home appliances through a panel interface in case of a power outage.
