I thought about going with an off brand because the price of the Westin brand was more than I expected. In the end, I went with the brand name and based on the ease of installation and the finished look. I think I made the best decision and I would recommend going this way.

I do not recommend this as a replacement for the original Westin part. It broke while installing and the pegs were a quarter of an inch off. Now I need another one.

I got this as a replacement for a 2001 f250 double cab..had to cut the plastic clips off each end. After that it fit perfectly. Note that my step bar is factory and not a westin.

What I liked best was that after I took off one of the broking ones I compared the old one with a new one,they were the same so all I had to do was to remove the old clips and install the new clips and line up the new pads and gently tap them down on to the step bar, perfect fit for my 2011 Dodge ram 1500 ,thank you. Very happy with them.
