I've only had a couple opportunities to try them but they worked well when I did. I have a very light duty mill so my speeds and feeds are pretty conservative. So, I can't speak about how they'd do under a heavy load.

I am not a machinist, I am only a DIY-hobbyist-fixit-tinkerer kind of guy. But I like these very much. They have produced a nice smooth cut on the items I have milled. For those who speak negatively about these, I do wonder if they were using the proper collet or were they using the drill chuck that comes with most Mini-Mills.When I first tried to use these in the drill chuck of the mill, I was not having the results I wanted. There is some play in a chuck that is not as present with a collet. So before getting too far into my job, I switched out the the proper collet and was much happier with the cut I was getting. Too much play can cause them to grab. And that can be bad for your work and the tool.I do believe it is a good idea to have spare cutters on hand. While I have not broken any cutters, or the holding screws, I think having spares is wise. They appear to be well made, with good fit and finish. They are doing what I bought them for...I am quite happy with them.

Seem to be very good quality, I'm quite happy with them overall. The only gripe I would have, and I don't even know if this qualifies as a legitimate gripe (because my experience with indexable carbide insert tooling is quite limited), is that I think the inserts could maybe be a little bit sharper. This is not to say these are dull, but I have seen some carbide inserts on other types of tooling that are slightly sharper than these. It's likely however, that these were designed like this intentionally to prevent the leading edge of the inserts from chipping/breaking

Really nicely made end mills, which are concentric and appear to be satin chromed. Nice storage case is a plus. The 5/8 one uses two inserts, which are located accurately at the same depth. Only other set I have seen like it in my catalogs is one with an additional holder and some inserts.....for a stunning $556.00. Needless to say, this is a right bargain.

I've used them with no issues. Works for my needs milling stuff. Quite happy with the results. Would buy again. Thanks.UPDATE: Dec 22, 2021. I'm still using the original inserts. Still performing with excellent results cutting/shaping STEEL. I don't use a great "depth of cut" and I make a pass at a slow speed of travel. I'm using a (little machine shop 6550 bench mill deluxe) so my results depends on speeds & feed. I adjust my RPMs based on sound. I'm just a home hobbyist but I get the job done. (I'm retired now, so I'm not in a hurry).
