Our MT2 arbor taper fits perfectly into any MT2 drill press, lathe, or mill and can be installed with the simple tap of a rubber mallet. Now I wasn’t expecting this to perform like a $450 Llambrich chuck but I was expecting reasonable precision with runout at a reasonably acceptable range. As soon as I installed and turned my press on there was blatant visible runout. So I uninstalled, cleaned everything again very thoroughly and reinstalled but had the same result. The amount of measured runout is really bad. I first thought my gauge was bad, but it’s perfectly fine and accurate. I don’t even want to include what I measured because mine had to have been a manufacturing flaw and slipped through the QA process and not what most other people get because Wen would be getting flooded with returns and bad reviews. Anyway I can just go off my experience which was bad. I’d just play it safe and spend a little more on a reputable brand.

After purchasing my new Wen drill press this was the first upgrade I made. The chuck came well packed and in a plastic case. I washed all the shipping grease and oil off the chuck and it was an easy install onto the drill press. No more searching for the chuck key and bit changes are quick and easy with this new chuck. It is very easy to use and the mechanics seem very smooth and almost no run out of the drill with this installed.For the price I paid this turned out to be better than expected and am very happy with this upgrade.

This chuck runs out less than .001 which is plenty good for any drill press. It doesn’t tighten as easily or as tight as the chucks that cost three times as much but that’s the only drawback I’ve noticed so far.

This is easy to use and attach.This does a great job and is much easier to use than a keyed chuck. I have had no issues with slippage or loosening

So glad I bought this. The chuck that came with my drill press was a nightmare. It would loosen all the time, causing me to frequently stop what I’m doing to tighten it with the key. God forbid I tighten one of the sides a little more than the other and would have to re-seat my bit. Or sometimes the chuck would completely disconnect from the arbor no matter how hard I pounded the two together.I knew that the old chuck was a pain and not super efficient, but I didn’t realize how much time I actually spent readjusting the old chuck until I replaced it with this one and finished the other half of my project in about a 10th of the time. Couldn’t be happier.
