The only reason it didn't get 5 stars is because someone at the factory WAY, WAY, WAY OVER TIGHTENED the hub locknuts. At first I couldn't get them loose. Took extensions on both wrenches to get them apart. Why was I messing with them? Axle turned with to much resistance. They didn't realize that by over tightening the lock nuts that causes the bearings to over tighten. Fortunately I have all the wheel tools needed. Once that was fixed THE WHEEL WAS GREAT! Hub aligned both ways, rim right on the money both ways. But If I was someone that didn't know how to check a wheel & just dropped it in a bike, I would be wondering why it felt like I was dragging an anchor. Hope the manufacturer looks into this. They seem to be concerned with making a great product. VERY HAPPY WITH WHEEL NOW, GREAT PRECISION ASSEMBLY(except for locknuts). WILL BE BUYING ANOTHER SOON. ALWAYS BE SURE YOU CHECK A NEW WHEEL FOR RUNOUTS AND BEARING PLAY.

I used this for a hybrid bike repair. I am semi-retired and owned a bike shop for over 30 years. It is common to get a new wheel and have to do some minor alignment with the spokes, but this wheel was almost perfect. Also, the bearings were properly adjusted, but it is important to always check that the axle rotates without any friction (should be like butter). I could have saved a few dollars going down to my old shop, but it wasn't worth my time with this purchase. I would buy again.

The rim is true and as expected. It ships USPS, but it's packaged pretty well. Despite USPS denting a corner of the package, the wheel was fine. One caveat, this rim does not come with rim tape to protect tubes from the spoke attachments. Be sure to buy rim tape! (It would be nice if the product description indicated the appropriate width of rim tape to buy so that consumers can confidently buy both the rim and the tape at the same time.)

34 spokes, very sturdy. Great buy. Packaging was a bit cheap and puctured when received, so check it out. Mine was fine and works great.
