I replaced the nylon cinch strap on a used saddle that I purchased. My horse is much more comfortable now. Those nylon straps don't stretch at all whereas the leather straps do. The Weaver Latigo straps are the best in my opinion.

My quarter horse is sweet, older & wide-shouldered, a bit overweight. This is the second Weaver 72" latigo I've bought to rig my saddle - one latigo on each side, with a 40" draft horse cinch. Last year's latigo has softened up nicely, while the new one is still a bit stiff. I may go to a saddle shop to get more holes punched in my two latigos.
