I doubt I will ever use this bottle holder because it is is too bulky, difficult to secure your bottle around because of how the straps work, too limiting regarding the size of the bottle you can use with it, and doesn't secure the bottle from falling out if you drop your pack or if it gets inverted. The first picture shows my 16 oz Hydroflask that is 7 inches tall and has a diameter of just under 3 inches. As you can see, the lower strap is very close to the bottom of the bottle. The upper strap is only 2 inches above the lower strap, so any taller bottle will be less secure in this holder. There is a wider strap that runs vertically up the back of the holder that you can attach to your pack or belt. The bottom of the wider strap is what is pulled forward toward the lower horizontal strap to cradle the bottom of the bottle. You can see in the second picture that there is only about 4.5 inches from the end of the wider strap to where the lower strap is sewn to the horizontal strap. The problem is that the wider strap is folded around the bottom of the bottle and is secured by the front of the horizontal strap. Because of that, the wider the diameter of your bottle, the less distance there will be from the lower strap to the bottom of the bottle, which makes the holder less secure. (I hope this makes sense.) Essentially, you are limited to a smaller bottle in both height and in diameter if you want to use this holder.Other issues I have with this holder include having too much velcro along the horizontal straps that catch on material or scrape your hands as you put in the bottle and it takes way too long to just secure any bottle in it. The material is good and it appears to be well-made, in terms of structure, but it's definitely not well-made, in terms of usefulness.

The concept and quality of this water bottle holder are good. The stitching and material appear to be of high quality and will hold up over time.However, the product pictures are a bit misleading. The images suggest that it can easily accommodate standard 17- to 32-ounce water bottles, but this is not entirely accurate. For typical water bottles (17oz- 32oz), it does not work as well. The two wrapping straps are too close together at the bottom. While the product description mentions compatibility with bottles ranging from 5.5 to 9.5 inches tall, I found that the holder works best for bottles around 7 to 8 inches tall.Due to the inaccuracies in the pictures and product description, I deducted 2 stars. If you have a smaller water bottle that is 7-8 inches tall, this product is a good option.
