This is just a giant, tough cavern for you to chuck gear into. I'm not a goalie, but I got the goalie size so I never had to worry about tetris-ing my gear into my bag the way I did with my previous one. I can just throw it in there and it'll all fit with room to spare. I do wish there was some kind of external mesh pocket or something for me to tuck a water bottle into, but that's a pretty small niggle.

After about 20 years, I needed to replace my hockey bag. The old CCM bag that I had started to fall apart.I like having separate pockets for skates, clothing, tape, and accessories. I also like having a single zipper that splits the bag. This has all of that. The skate pockets are internal mesh pockets. There are also adequately sized mesh pockets to hold tape, a small accessory bag that has skate/stick/helmet stuff (sweetsticks, scissors, screwdriver, wax, skate stone, etc.), and one for shirts and shorts. The bag is made out of a tarpaulin type material (think circus tent). It is durable, but not breathable - so you really don't want store wet equipment in the bag. Take your stuff out, let it dry thoroughly, then pack it - your teammates will thank you as you won't smell so bad.I bought the standard Player (Large) bag. I have full size men's equipment it all fits with even some extra room. The bag is shorter than my previous bag, but taller as well. Volumetrically, it is obviously bigger. For the money, this is a very nice bag.I think the Medium bag would have been tight and the Goalie bag would be huge - for a normal sized adult male's equipment.
