Bought it for my dog when he was having knuckling issues but i think his issues were too severe for this to help. He was a big German shepherd in the early stages of degenerative myelopathy. The quality of the boot was really good, but it kept sliding off and couldn’t stay on for longer than 10 seconds at a time.

This boot brace really helped our senior dog, who was knuckling really badly. We tried similar products that fit under the toes, but they didn't work. This one, if sized correctly, is a game changer. Here are the drawbacks: don't leave the boot on too long or it might cause blisters/absesses on your dogs feet. If you don't get a good fit, it may not wear very well. The first one we got was too big and so it ripped. The second one fit well and worked much better and lasted longer. The elastic cord that runs from the toe to the haunch strap can wear out pretty quickly. But the bottom line is that these work if used correctly. They just may not last a super long time.

Can’t say enough good things!! True to size. Great quality. I wish it was less expensive, but for the relief / peace of mind it provides, it’s worth it. My pup’s foot is 2.2” wide, and the medium fits perfect. So easy to configure and put on. My pup has been knuckling due to neurological issues caused by a meningioma tumor on his spine. This has made it so he can walk normally again, and not drag or knuckle. Provides great support. Keeps his foot in the proper position. We haven’t walked in any deep water, so not sure if it’s completely waterproof, but his foot stays dry in the rain. Seems comfortable, he never protests when I get it out to put it on him. The vets love it too. So glad I got it. Very happy with it.

Unfortunate I think these are best suited for dogs who are maybe 20 lbs or lighter. The boot itself was constructed alright- however the “ anti-knuckling” is dependent on a thin bungee string stayin taught enough to hold the toes upward. If the body weight of the dog is any bigger, it doesn’t withstand the natural pull of the paw and it fails to be effective at all.I tried this on my Great Dane after he experienced an FCE and unfortunately it won’t work for what we need.Smaller dogs ( much smaller) may fare better.

This product was needed as my dane was dragging his toes backwards. Unfortunately this just kept sliding down his leg and would not hold up as it was advertised .so I sent it back.

Our 15 year old Shepherd keeps knuckling. When we put these on he’s so confident it’s adorable. He doesn’t fall and is more stable. Takes a few times to figure out how to secure them but once you get the hang of it it’s easy. We leave them on a couple of hours at a time and the effects seem to last even when we remove them. SO glad we did this!!

This is absurdly expensive but the thing works. I paid $70 for a large. My dog started to drag her foot & scrape her knuckles on walks. This actually helps keep her toe up & minimizes scraping. At one point, the bungee strap accidentally released (user error) & she started dragging her hind quarters. As soon as I fixed it she walked pretty normally. The difference was instantaneous. It's pretty simple genius design that gets the job done.It has a neoprene body with a heavy duty rubber coating around the bottom of the foot & toes. Theres a strap that connects the bungee to the boot and the elbow strap. You pull that bungee taught & it pulls the toe up help your dog keep their toe up & not drag their foot. One suggestion is to make the elbow velcro strap shorter. It's much too long for the average dog leg. I simply trimmed it a bit & it was easier to wrap & secure around my dog's elbow.I can't give it 5* because I've had it 2 months and a hole tore at the top of the boot eventually causing my dogs paw to come out. For $70 for one boot, I'd hope to get longer use out of it. I only use it for 2 *very slow* walks a day around our block for about 15 minutes each. Our dog can't really walk further. I have no idea how this tear developed since the boot keeps her toes up & she doesn't drag the top of her foot along the sidewalk. I ended up repurposing the bungee strap & elbow strap on another boot. It seemed to do the trick.

As long as you get the right size. Because the first one I ordered was too big but the last 1 works great. Just a little spindy but worth it

I still REALLY want to get these for my Shepherd mix but none of the sizes worked for her.The Medium was WAY too small (couldn't fit onto half her paw) so I bought the Large which ended up being HUGE. almost twice too large resulting in constant spinning around of the boot.I thought we would be set with the Medium / Large size but they were still too large and would eventually spin around.I don't know what happened but I'm assuming the Medium Large was either manufactured too large or the Medium was manufactured too small. Either way I can't vouch for the product because I tried 3 different sizes and none of them fit right.
