GE slide-in range. Had problems controlling temp on front (3 ring) burner on JS750SF3SS. This review only applies to that unit and this burner. Made the mistake of changing out this burner when I should have changed out the controller (see separate review). Advice:1. If you have problems controlling the temperature of a burner and the burner is working (heating up), try changing out the controller first. It is MUCH CHEAPER AND MUCH EASIER to try this first instead of changing the burner.2. Make SURE you have the correct model number. Do your research on GE website. Find parts numbers, diagrams, and assembly views for your range. I even called them, got the correct part number and (higher) price.3. Don't necessarily rely on YouTube videos, unless the model is the SAME. They might look the same but taking it apart can be very different. Use the assembly diagrams for your range from GE. The videos showed a couple of screws and lift up the top....my unit was significantly different and much much more difficult. With respect to only my unit, I would not recommend changing this burner for an amateur DIY'er.4. On the flip side, do use the videos. Once you get into it there are a lot of similarities.5. Disconnect the power. Take your time. Disconnect the wires one at a time and make sure you reconnect the wires correctly. Take pictures if you doubt yourself. My situation required the use of the two included jumpers/adapters.Changed the burner after several hours of work. Burner worked fine, although still had the same problem. Switched out the controller and solved the problem.

This would have been a snap if we had found the adaptor connectors under the Styrofoam packing! As it was it took some finagling. The other problem we had was figuring out how to remove the glass top - The actual installation was straight forward and the burner works fine except the center (smallest) burner will not heat but I think it is because we did not know about the hidden adaptors or instructions. I am hoping that problem will be remedied when we dismantle the glass top and re-do the connectors.

Product arrived quickly and very well packaged against damage. Had a little surprise at the fittings that Frigidaire used to attach the support crossbar and that there were separator legs attached to the old burner that had to be removed and transferred, but no big deal. The included jumper was needed for the reversed connectors as noted with the part.

It installed easily. Works well. My only issue was after I installed it the warmer burner and ovens wouldn’t work. I was terribly irate. When I was about to give up, I pressed cancel on the control panel and voila, it worked. I you have issues after installing it, hit the cancel button. It’s now working great.

I installed the new burner and it does not consistently stay on enough to boil water. I tried different levels and it does the same. Turns on for 2 seconds then turns off for 10. Back and forth….. not consistent. Maybe I got a bad one, but going to put in for a return.
