Cut a strip of felt long enough to cover the edge of your squeegee. For most squeegees, this will be approx. 4 inches.
Peel the backing off the cut piece of felt, to expose the adhesive side.
Stick the felt onto one side of the squeegee, then fold it over to cover the other side. Press it on firmly.
Now your squeegee is ready to smoothly apply vinyl to any surface without scratching or otherwise damaging the expensive vinyl.

It comes apart almost instantly. The black felt detaches from the grey adhesive part if it's pulled or stretched.

I have been using VViViD vinyl wrap for many years now in many different applications. Sometimes it holds up well and sometimes it is really bad. One of the worst VViViD wraps I ever used was the red carbon fiber. Even behind tinted windows the wrap suffered from major sun bleaching and turned into a pink carbon fiber wrap, ugh. But I digress.This is a nice spool of felt to use on various tools for working on flattening and applying the vinyl to various surfaces. The adhesion is OK and it sticks to the plastic tools I use without any issues so far. The felt is soft and has not caused any scratching to any of the vinyl surfaces I have used with it yet. I used to buy the pre-cut pads but they can get expensive depending how much wrapping you do and decided to try out the spool.This is one of the good products that VViViD makes and I would recommend it for anyone doing vinyl wrap installs.

I ordered this adhesive felt tape for applying vinyl, and it's been really helpful. Before using it, I was concerned about denting the vinyl with too much pressure, but this tape covers any imperfections in my scrapers, ensuring a smooth application. It feels smoother and sturdier than regular felt, making it versatile for various home uses. The adhesive is strong, so I expect it to stay in place for a long time. The price is reasonable, and it's perfect for protecting finishes on different items. The felt has a nice, soft touch, and while it sheds a bit initially, it's a small issue considering its usefulness. Overall, it's a fantastic product with many applications!

I bought this felt for a different application. I used it to line the inside of a solar filter I 3D printed for a telescope. Installed the felt is 1.4mm (as reported by another reviewer). For my application the felt worked extremely well and fit my needs. Only caveat being that remove results in the felt separating from the adhesive layer which leaves a mess. So this might not be the right product for you application if you need to remove the felt later. Not a knock to the product/vendor as I'm not using the felt for it's intended application.'Would I buy again?` Yes, at this price point I think so. Knowing that I need to be careful when apply the felt, as if not done properly can result in a mess.

I recently decided to do some vinyl and PPF on my car. While in the past I've gotten away with using regular squeegees or some disposable soft-edged squeegees, I've always considered myself lucky to not have damaged anything when installing. I thought this would be a good idea, as I can try a few different shaped tools such as some plastic trim removal tools, etc. and cover the edges in soft felt to avoid damaging what I was applying.I've used quite a few products from VViViD in the past, and as always the quality is top-notch. For some reason I was picturing in my head something a little thicker, but after seeing just how soft and flexible it is while also having very strong adhesive I was hooked. The 25' roll is probably enough to last me 10 lifetimes of vinyl installing (unless I choose to quit my job and install vinyl instead!), but after using it I realized there are so, so many other uses for this. I've put pieces on the legs of my furniture to protect the hardwood finish, I've put it under my espresso maker to make it easier to pull out from under the cabinets to refill the beans, and I've used it under my home theater equipment to protect the finish of my entertainment center.Just be cautious when using it to apply PPF- it does shed a little bit at first and if you're not careful you may get some fuzzies under the film. I just used the squeegees that I already used for the vinyl since they don't really shed after the initial little bit. Overall great stuff with many, many other uses as well!

I do vinyl wrapping for automotive interiors from time to time. And for a squeegee felt replacement, this roll does a great job in saving me some money having to buy more squeegees. Nowadays, all I had to do is pull the old felt tape off and put this on and it's good like new. This felt tape has a thinner profile than my original kind, but it doesn't cause any irregularities in vinyl wrap application. The tape adhesive is good, I've gone through 3 of them so far and none of the adhesives peeled off unless I purposely go pull it. Overall, this is not a bad get if you're dealing with quite some vinyl wrapping work. I wonder if I can use this for window tint applications; not for my car, for the home window as I don't think I know how to work tint film on curved windows. Anyway, this is a good felt tape to refresh the vinyl application squeegees. No complaints.

I used this tape for surface scratch resistance and on the bottom of bar stools for floor gliding. It works great for both applications and I expect that I'll think of other uses for this type of tape. Very handy to have on hand!
