Great scope at fair priceGave it a four as haven’t had opportunity to harvest any game with it or see how it stands up to magnum loads over timeSo far so good at range sighted in fairly easy had to use a high mount with my older Browning BAROptics seem good eye relief as advertised

Great scope at a great price. Feels sturdy, clear, nice options, has a sun shade and life time warranty. For 400 dollars canadian I couldn't ask for much more in a scope without there being quality issues.

I find this scope to be very unique. I'm not sure how many are being sold, but I'm sure they will sell plenty once the word gets out. I was looking at this scope when I chose to buy the crossfire II 2-7x32 to save some money. The crossfire is a great scope also, I'm going to keep it and probably put it on another rifle in the future (been wanting to add a 22 to my collection). But I couldn't get this scope out of my mind. It's the same size as the crossfire II 2-7x32 but with better glass, a side parallax adjustment, and a bit more magnification. It's perfect for the AR platform because of it's size, price and ability. So I went ahead and purchased it. I have a colt le6920 with Magpul furniture. This scope just barely clears the rear sights when they are folded down. That's good, most people will tell you it's good to have it mounted low, and I like having my eye down close to the charging handle. I'm using an American Defense recon qd standard height mount with this. Perfect for what I wanted. I also have a red dot with a qd mount that I can switch out with this scope when I'm at the range. I haven't seen any other scopes in this magnification range with a side adjustment. They maybe out there but I haven't seen them, and I'm perfectly happy with this scope. I'm completely sold on Vortex scopes. I don't think you can go wrong with this one.

This is my first Vortex. I am specifically comparing this to my existing Nikon Buckmasters with BDC, Redfield Revolution with Accu-Range, and Leupold VX-2, all of equal cost and quality IMO. Mounted on CMMG AR10 with collapsible stock used for mid range deer, elk, and coyote and occasional 300 yard plinking. Upon arrival, everything including the packaging around the box was top notch and you could tell much care was taken in the packaging of this scope. The scope is a little on the heavy side which I don't mind because that spells durability in the long run to me. It is extremely well made, no blemishes or inconsistencies anywhere. The finish is very deep black and feels very durable (my Nikons scratch just my saying the word scratch). All dials where tight enough to not freely move on their own but loose enough to easily reach and adjust while in shooting position. Eye relief is an absolute A+, I have never looked through another scope with such a forgiving eye relief. I can plant my cheek anywhere on the stock with it in almost any position and still have a clear view of the target in all magnification levels. The clarity is truly the best of all my other scopes. MOA adjustments are easy with definite clicks (unlike the Redfield). It came out of the box almost zeroed to my rifle. The crosshairs are a little thin which could prove tough in low light however wont cover up a whole prairie dog at 300 yards like the Nikon BDC. I am very pleased and certainly do recommend this scope to anyone looking for this many features in this price range.

Vortex Optics.... A+! I own 5 other Vortex red dots and rifle scopes. I try to rate everything fairly and so far all my Vortex products have been quality stuff.Put this on a Savage Trophy Hunter 270 Win. Purchased some Warne Medium 1" Scope Rings to go along with this scope. I kept the 2 bases that came with the rifle. I always try to get the lowest scope mounts, and the medium clears the barrel and the bolt.Shot about 60 rounds at the range, and it's very clear and lets in a lot of light. I have not used the shade, but will likely carry it with me to block glare, or if it's raining. So far, it held zero after sighting in. I love the side AO. Turrets are audible 1/4 MOA clicks. Going from 4 to 16 zoom is very smooth.I'm sure there's other brands of scope out there that are comparable, but hard to put in the price range Vortex offers. I always feel confident in purchasing Vortex because they produce quality products for a great price and a lifetime warranty.Update 5/15/2016: I removed the scope from my Savage 270 Win and put on my Savage FV-SR 22LR with Boyd's Pro Varmint stock for bench rest shooting at paper targets. Same beautiful quality and getting 1/2"-3/4" groups with factory CCI ammo.Reason I replaced this on my 270 Win was that now I am using the rifle for spot-and-stalk, so I needed one that was lighter in weight for mobility and less magnification power as my shots are sometimes as close as 20 yards.

Love the scope! Last scope was a Nikon 4-9x40 with BDC reticle. The Dead-Hold BDC Reticle on the Diamondback HP compensates for windage and gives me the confidence to take the shot in crosswind. Eye relief is very good giving a great sight picture at 16X. Installation and set up was typical for an excellent quality scope and 1/4 MOA click adjustments make zeroing-in a breeze!! Used Vortex Viper Med 1" Scope Rings for my Savage Model 11 and the fit, finish and "eye-candy" appeal is amazing. I'm a loyal Vortex customer with binos, range-finders and spotting scopes from Vortex in my gear bag. Unconditional Lifetime Warranty just makes it a home run with the amazing quality. Get yourself one....you'll be very happy!
