We have used this snow blower three times and it works great. It is easy to use and cleared 6 inches of light snow. I think really wet snow would be a struggle. We have a very large driveway and long sidewalks. This cleared it all really well and one battery charge did almost all of it.

Amazing even on snow a foot high (the batteries will about 20 mins). On a light snowfall I can do my entire driveway 30'x55' and still not use full battery power. One issue though the blade lever works fully to the left but did not go completely to the right and now it doesn't go to the right at all so I've only had option of blowing snow straight or to the left. There is a link here to get support for common issues to choose from but no option to get support for other, specific issues like the one I am having. Will try on their site for a customer service number during the week. Hopeful it will be an easy fix otherwise I will need an exchange.

The shovel works great on 5-6" of snow. It's a little more difficult to use in deeper snow. It throws snow about three feet. It has a lot of power for a battery-operated tool. I haven't had any trouble with it getting clogged with snow and it's powerful enough to grind up some harder chunks of snow. The batteries last enough to clear our two car length driveway, plus two parking spaces, twice. It makes noise, but not a problem for me. Light-weight and easy to maneuver. So much easier than shoveling by hand! My back loves it!

I've had this for about a month now. With lots of snow in Canada it's been great lots of power it really throws the snow and the batteries last a long time. I have a very bad back so this has really saved me. I'm very happy and highly recommend this.

Assembly took 5-10 minutes. Both batteries charged to full in under 2 hours. My first use was on my driveway with 2 inches of slightly wet snow. The little machine worked great. Snow was thrown 15 ft on straight paths. When using the vanes to send snow to the side on the driveway, the results were a little bit disappointing. The snow was thrown 3 to 5 ft. Overall, I am still quite happy with my purchase. Will report back on my next use. This should complement my Snowjoe snowblower nicely.

Assembly took a little while only because there are no real markings where to place the bolt to hold the larger handle. It will only fit in certain places. We first thought the bolt was too short but you just have to find the right place for it to fit. It powered up right away. Appears very fast and powerful. We had only ice left so have not tried it yet on snow. REMINDER: the hardware works. You just have to place the light and handle where the bolts will fit on the rod/stick. I write this because I saw other reviews that stated things did not fit or they did not have the correct bolts.

After using for nearly a month now thought I'd share an issue that I maybe others may have experienced. The knob that controls the direction of the snow being blown can become frozen or stuck to one side and as such will force you to back up each time you want to do a new pass. If you have to perform long passes before returning to where you started this is impractical. Great machine however.Battery power could use a slight boost to like 56V for the wetter stuff but now you're getting into the realm of a snow blower. Battery longevity is very good and enough to get the job done. If doing drifts that have been compacted over time by wind it will cut out. Pretty well have to use this unit with fresh snow that hasn't sat for an extended period of time for best results.

I chose this Voltask over its competitors on Amazon because:1) it has wheels2) it has directional "fins"3) at 16" it is wider than most power snow shovels so requires fewer passes to clear the snow.4) the batteries go into the base unit instead of at the top of the handle. Having the battery weight lower allows the unit to stand up unattended. I am not sure whether competitors with the batteries at the top would stand up or if the top-heavy weight would make them fall. The unit was very easy to assemble. Although most of the unit is plastic, it is well-built.I have used it three times so far:The first time was with about an inch of VERY heavy slushy snow. It threw the snow maybe 3 feet, but enough to do the job. After a while, the directional fins got stuck and would only turn to one side, not the other. The Voltask was very easy to maneuver. After completing my 30' x 16' driveway and about 20 feet of 3' sidewalk, the battery indicators showed they were down only one light out of three. The second use was with about 2-3 inches of average wetness/weight snow. It threw it about 6-7 feet. It took about half the time and 1/4 of the effort compared to using a manual snow shovel. The directional fins did not get stuck this time and proved useful. The third time was with 3-4" of semi-fluffy snow. The Voltask threw it about 10 feet. The city snow plow left about 6-8" at the end of the driveway and it cut through that with no problem. The fins operated normally and didn't get stuck. The wheels have proven to be a big plus for the Voltask. In some situations I needed to pull it backwards. Without wheels, it would have just drug on the concrete. The wheels make it easy to pull backwards. The directional fins help. They only rotate to 30 degrees in each direction, so are somewhat limited, but having them is still a plus compared to most of its competitors. The 16" width is a plus. Most competitors are 12"-13"The batteries have easily lasted long enough to complete the job each time I have used it. The battery charger has slots for both batteries so you can put them in the charger at the same time.Cons/areas for improvement:1) Like all the power snow shovel brands, a longer main handle/shaft would be nice. If I had needed to use the extra D-shaped second handle, (the one that attaches to the main shaft below the main handle), I would have had to bend over, which my back would not appreciate. For at least the two times I have used it so far, I did not have to use that extra handle and was able to stand up straight and use only the top handle (I am 6 feet tall). A deeper or wetter snow may require using the second handle to get more leverage to push through the snow. Time will tell in that regard. UPDATE: I was able to go through 6-8" of snow left by the city plow at the end of the driveway without needing to use the extra handle.2) The directional fins, while a plus for even having them, are limited to 30 degrees in each direction and got stuck the first time I used it. The heavy snow got caught in the fins and prevented them from turning in one direction. The next two uses with snow that wasn't so slushy, the fins operated with no problem. The lever to change the fin direction is on the base so you have to bend over to change it.Overall, I am very pleased with this purchase.
