Installed this on my VW B6 Passat, (CCTA, turbo FSI). I forget the error code, but it pointed to one of three failure modes with the original intake design. The original design could fail in either the flapper getting stuck, the sensor, or the movement arm. Mine was a bad sensor after 12 years an 90k miles. This intake is of a new design that addresses all three design flaws and cleared my code. There are a few aftermarket versions of this intake out there for cheaper, but I didn’t want to screw around and bought OEM.

Bought this intake and changed it my self perfect fit works good have put about 3,000 miles on my car since and the check engine light has not came back on anymore. I'm not a mechanic but I do like to get my hands dirty fixing things around the house/yard/cars. (TOOK ABOUT 4 HRS TO CHANGE INTAKE) including trip to local auto parts store to buy special $10 dollar tool I needed to complete work
