I liked the ease of install , but haven’t seen the mpg improvement . The engine breathes better and sounds aggressive.

I needed an intake that was shaped in such a way so that I could fit my on board air compressor. The factory box was too tall and wide for how and where I wanted to mount it. This one fit the bill perfectly. I got it for about 100 less than other options and even this same one on other sites. I did some custom installation work because the fender intake side would have worked as is, but it doesn't line up very well. This makes about a third of the hole for air to come in blocked by the fender. Well...I'm not one to be beaten by inanimate objects so I did a little cutting and solved that problem. Some simple metal snips and some bending was all it took. A test ride proved well. It sounds AMAZING and aggressive when you get into it. Some people complained about a lack of instructions and missing parts, but mine came with everything and good instructions. If you need a CAI and don't want to spend 350 or need the clearance like I did, I recommended this one. For the money and quality feel to it, I'm fine improvising a little. Seems the Amazon app updated and it no longer gives me the option to add my install progress photos....

Bought this to go on my 2012 Toyota Tundra Crewmax. Along with a throttle body spacer. Instilling it was supper easy. Took about 1 1/2 hours total and that's with removing the old stock cold air intake part that goes inside the fender. I modified it to the new intake. Doing this helped with the small gap that was showing on the bottom where the new intake butted up against the truck. It also helped keep an air tight seal to pull the cold air inside the new intake. (A little note to help you out.) Make sure to add loctite to the new valve cover bolts you replace when switching them out. They will back out if you don't.

One of the best upgrades you can make to any vehicle. This Volant product in particular is amazing. I've had a K&N CAI on a previous vehicle and this one is head and shoulders above it. Increased my MPG in my '16 Toyota Tundra by 1.3. The other cool thing about this product is sound of your engine is a much deeper, healthier sounding roar. Plus it's very aesthetically pleasing. The Toyota mechanic liked it so much that he put one on his truck. Highly recommend!

Disappointed in the quality of the product. The gasket(s) did not line up properly, so you have to squish it into place or make the holes larger. The instructions are terrible! If you don’t go onto their website and download their PDF version with pictures or have You Tube handy you will double your install time. After I found better instructions the install was pretty simple for people that are not very mechanically inclined. Less than 1 hour. The intake does not make a complete seal against the fender and there is also a large ¾”-1” gap at the bottom because the intake sits too high. Not sure if this will affect the performance since its not taking is as much air as it could and it will be drawing in hot air from the engine compartment.I did not notice any gains in the pick up or throttle response either. Maybe because its not drawing in as much air as the stock filter. So far the only plus is that it sounds Awesome! I can agree 100% with others that commented on this. It really does have a great sound when you hit the gas. So all gains in the MPG will be lost because you just want to stop on the gas every chance you get just to hear the engine roar.

Ok, I'm pretty sure I'm still grinning from ear to ear after installing this. The sound difference is truly amazing. I have had a K&N on my titan for years and after I got my Tundra I was bummed by the sound of stock. I pulled the trigger on this and am so glad I did. This puts my old K&N to shame. The housing of this is like a little concert hall. It amplifies the air being sucked in and it sounds incredible. Deep, deep sound. What is nice though is that that it mellows out once you are at cruising speeds. This is most likely going to be the only system I will by for my trucks from now on and will recommends to all my friends who are looking to get a Cold Air Intake. Also Amazon said this would not fit my truck but it fit perfectly. Bad on Amazon for not doing their homework. When in doubt call or go to the manufactures website and look for yourself. If you are reading this Amazon, fix it to say it fits a 2012 Toyota Tundra Crewmax 4.6L V8.

After jumping up to 295s on my Tundra, this intake really brought the power back to where it was with the stock size tires. Sound is amazing throughout the rpm range, compliments my cat back nicely. Also brought my mpg back from 12.6 to 14.7. Excellent product, install was under an hour with basic tools.

I've seen a few intakes for the Tundra, and this seems to be one of the better manufactured.Nice deep intake sound... At WOT it's louder than my aFe exhaust. Again, great sound. There is a mild drone at a very narrow RPM range, but nothing I found to be too distracting.Build quality is great, and the filter is top notch. Much better flow than a K&N or the likes. One caveat, I've had the hose clamp pop off of the silicon boot which connects to the intake manifold on 2 occasions. I was going very fast on VERY rough roads, but nonetheless it has happened twice, so be aware. The truck shuts down rather quickly with all that unmetered air, so risk of damage is low, but it's pretty inconvenient to need to stop and pop the hood and reconnect it. Also not good when your brakes stop working because vacuum assist is gone. Loses a star for this.Install was a cinch. Less than 10 minutes and nothing but a screwdriver. It looks pretty classy under the hood.Update: The disconnect issue is taking this to 2 stars. It is simply unacceptable to have unfiltered air going into my engine. I had the intake system off for some maintenance, and there was evidence of dirt/moisture uncomfortable far down the UIM.
