I replaced the barb fittings I was using with these compression fittings. I frequently connect/disconnect (with each use) plastic tubing to the tee fitting when pressure testing systems. The other end of the tubing stays connected to the tap on my manometer. The tubing is generally so tight on the barb that I have to use a razor knife to cut it off which occasionally results in the barbs becoming scored resulting in a leak. Even when not scored the barb fittings sometimes leak. These compression fittings have remained tight and leak free. With each use I remove the nut and the tubing pulls right off the stab fitting.
